Hunter Biden under paid some taxes (he since paid them) and on a gun permit application he claimed not to be on drugs when he was - for this he pled guilty and got two misdemeanors and has to participate in a diversion program, the DOJ announced today.
MAGA world has become unhinged. No mafia style Biden crime family high jinx. No millions in bribes from foreign nationals. This is not enough to impeach Biden with!!!
They’re spouting the ‘two tiered justice system’ and ‘sweetheart deals’ while poor Trump has all these unfair charges.
I’m willing to bet that not only what Trump Sr done so much worse than anything Hunter has done, Hunter isn’t with ten miles of doing anything similar to what Don Jr has done while conducting Daddy’s business.
Heck, at least Hunter has remained sober. From the way Trump Jr and his crazy ass wife behave, they’re on some controlled substance.

Come on, we all know if trump was president and one of his kids was being investigated and going to trial - he would have done whatever he could to influence the outcome. We all know he would have issued a presidential pardon before the trial even started. All done while squealing like a stuck pig about how he (and his kid) were being unfairly treated.
And the MAGA world is whining about what? That John Biden - is what? a bad dad and doesn't care enough to do everything possible to keep his son from being subject to law just like every one else?

Hardly a sweetheart deal in any case. Likely that an average citizen wouldn't have even been charged criminally in the first place given similar circumstances.

So my question to Trump and the MAGAs is when is Trump going to pay the US treasury what he owes? Where is our restitution from his cheating on his taxes?

MAGA goes nuts? You mean they weren't already? You could have fooled me. The day they react to anything in a remotely reasonable way I will go out to see whether Aliens have landed (Independence Day style).

I would think that Smith would be happy to give Trump a sweetheart deal in exchange for him standing up in court and saying, "guilty". He could reduce the 31 counts of Willful Retention of National Defense Records down to 1 count for a specific highly classified document, 1 obstruction, and 1 conspiracy charge. Sentence of probation.

I didn't file taxes for a few, about 5 I think, years and it turned out I owed for one of them. I had to pay the taxes, the interest, and a shit ton of fines. No talk of criminal charges.

Oh, what the hell, I can be magnanimous. I'll let him choose a firing squad. He should appreciate that. Magnanimous has an M, A, G, and A all in the first five letters!

they could even recruit some of the members of the Proud Boys that did NOT go to Washington to carry out their patriotic duty. put all of that training to good use.

it occurs to me that since the DOJ is a branch of the federal government, they can assert quite a bit of creative bargaining, here.
what i would NOT do would be to create any opportunity for Trump to serve the government in any capacity going forward. deportation with the understanding that if he returns to the US he will be subject to incarceration and trial sounds like an attractive option.
now THAT would be a bargain worth considering. anything that involves any sort of PROMISE on his part is worthless. he never keeps his promises. so, it would have to be quite a digital bargain. you do this, or this happens to you. that kind of thing.

Here's another one to make MAGA go nuts....again. Four years of investigating the investigators and not one person is frogged marched off to prison. I guess Durham is part of the deep state! Durham’s 300-page report, which was the culmination of a roughly four-year investigation, criticizes the FBI for “extremely troublesome” failures in its investigation. It found that authorities didn’t have sufficient evidence to open the case. www.newsnationnow.com/politics/john-durham-to-testify-to-congress-after-scathing-report/

An incomplete list of tangible items avoided by a bargained guilty plea: Trials are expensive. Trials are inherently risky. This trial will expose 12 citizens to physical risk. No matter the outcome of this trial, a jury verdict will be questioned.

Just in case anyone forgot: with the MAGAs in a tizzy -> where are the loser's tax returns we have been promised since 2016? I want to be able to see whether he has paid taxes as he should. Never forget LOL
Oooh I just myself to be a bit on the slow side. Maybe those were intermingled with the (top) secret documents stored in his secure bathroom...

I don’t agree that he is “very likely” to get a conviction. The judge has the ability to disallow Corcoran’s notes along with a bunch of other evidence. The judge could also grant a dismissal or overrule a jury’s decision. The jury will be 12 (plus alternates) people who may or may not be impartial. They will be asked to grapple with complicated information and concepts, and unless we find people who live under a rock, have heard something about this. Will they understand? Will they bring in unconscious bias? The judge also has a lot of say in jury selection, so she could tilt the jury from the beginning. The case may be delayed for a super long time - long enough to get a pardon. There is so much pre-trial stuff to do. My husband has seen much less complicated cases drag on for 2 years. Smith can only do so much to keep this moving along. Intelligence agencies have to get involved and decide what is allowed to be shared - the most egregious crimes likely involve the documents they would want to keep secret. The list goes on. I am not betting any money that a conviction will happen. I hope it does but there are hundreds of ways this could go sideways - and it will continue to be a news nightmare before, during and after.

Trump has a lot of fires to put out, and the DOJ could help him with that. for a price. edit2: really? no response to this? crickets. ok!

I'm still rooting for the bloot clot........................... Some rational people I know think we should be sending him McDonald's gift cards in the hope that increased consumption might have a detrimental effect on his health. Maybe we can hope he sits for such long periods of time while eating more and more McDonald's burgers and fries (and ketchup, of course) that he develops a blood clot from inactivity? A twofer.

The way he’s having these nuclear melt downs every time some news comes out about one of his many law suits, I keep expecting his heart to literally seize up in his chest. He had another melt down on Social this AM when more details came out about the recordings and transcripts and documents Jack Smith has submitted as proof against him. It’s only going to get worse for him - the GA indictment is supposed to come down in August.

Hunter Biden among high-profile guests at state dinner honoring Indian PM ModiWhy? I get Joe Biden showing support for his son. But this was an event hosted by President Biden. Can't think of any reason for Hunter Biden to attend this official function. Would have been simple for him to be out living his life and have other plans for the evening. This is just tossing another log onto the fire. Unnecessary.

After this Alito and Thomas shit - fuck those guys. Hunter Biden can have dinner at the fancy fucking party if the highest court in America can take hundreds of thousands of dollars in gifts and trips from people who have cases they will rule on. Oooooo- but Hunter had a piece of fish and some cake - what a tragedy.
I’m so over it.
