i am going to list all three of my picks this week and then delete two on investigation.
CA:NKL i have picked this before. didn't go well. SPCE this had a huge bump Friday. will it carry over?
GBTC for those of you that like technicals, this has been in a descending wedge since April 18th
eliminated GBTC. there is some possible competition coming from Blackrock, but that doesn't translate to gains for GBTC.
i decided to take SPCE due to the extraordinary nature of the move on Friday. it not only traded 152M shares, but it broke an 18 month downtrend that started at $13. of course, knowing my luck. this thing will open at $10 and finish next week at $5. but here goes nothing.
SPCE long

And I have to bottom wrapped up!
Went grocery shopping today after getting a hair cut. I was nearly out of my "ground beef"....I use whole sirloin tips & have them ground for hamburger. It generally comes out cheaper that way....so my bill was almost $200!...OUCH! But I have less shrinkage due to having less fat and I don't need to use as much that way. So at $4.23 lb., that wasn't too bad. How much is groun chuck in your area?
I repackage it all here at home in zip bags. That way I can make some bigger for things like meat loaf or spaghetti sauce and other smaller for things like burgers. And by having it in flat packages, it thaws a LOT faster too.

you might pass me today. down another 6%. SPCE flamed out too soon, probably. edit: oh boy. they are running up the liquidity with a $400M offering. terrible. i am going to lose money on this thing this week. LOL! i should have taken GBTC.

Congrats Uncle & Clark. DJ, thank you for being a gentleman & taking the bottom.
Uncle, it was pork chops tonight, with sides of a garden salad of tomatoes/cukes/onions some spices thrown in & mayo as the dressing. It's easy to make & yummy! DH had butter beans (I'm to the point I hate beans like that) and little red potatoes cut in half & cooked in butter/parsley in a skillet. I did our pork chops in the air fryer with a panko coating...I won't do that again. It made a gummy mess on the chops...so had to scrape it off. But the pork chops were the best I've bought in quite awhile.
Uncle...those 2 nice whole sirloin tips I had ground into burger meat...I got 21 packages out of it. So roughly just under $5 per package which is pretty good pricing. And another thing about getting burger this way....you know it all came from one animal & doesn't have any pink slime mixed in it either.
