Slightly different twist than the Florida thread.
The fun thing about New Jersey is so much happens here. Some of it weird, disappointing. That's what I will probably share here
and hopefully some of the very cool stuff like my favorite places, good food, and upcoming events I'd love to go to.

A school board in Somerset County has rejected a high school sociology book that had been recommended by teachers, with board members calling it “trash” and “unscientific” while citing political, gender and racial concerns.



The Bernards Township school board voted 5-4 during a tense April 24 meeting to not include “The Real World: An Introduction to Sociology.”

Among some board members’ objections to the book:



•It presented an unbalanced view of the shooting of Michael Brown in 2014 because it didn’t include his height and weight and mention he was “attempting to wrestle the gun away from a police officer.”



•It didn’t mention claims of Antifa’s role in riots in 2020.


So apparently one school board member feels we need to teach about fake news. Yep, in NJ. Rich NJ, but NJ nonetheless.
