A lot of scams use Bitcoin ATMS now. The victim withdraws cash and then deposits it into a Bitcoin ATM in the criminal's account . I googled Bitcoin ATM near me, and was shocked to see how many there were in my relatively unpopulated area. I think the authorities are working to shut as many as possible down. Live and learn. I had never even heard of bitcoin ATMs so I googled the same you did and there are at least a dozen. Oh well, now I know. I don't really understand bitccoin so I won't deal with it and I can just forget that information again. Same here. So off to google I went. I stopped counting at 50. I did notice a few had “closed” in red by them Like you live and learn.

I know nothing about bitcoin but the word. I don't think I would get caught up in a scam about those for that very reason.

I know nothing about bitcoin but the word. I don't think I would get caught up in a scam about those for that very reason. They're often just guised as "investments" with no mention of bitcoin or crypto. ------------------- In talking to another client who's a DJ at a strip club, he told me it's really nothing for the dancers to make a couple thousand on a really good night. And drunk dudes will pay all kinds of money to keep the nearly nekid bodies near them.

If you put it in the bank, you also have to declare it. The feds usually want about 40% and the state wants its cut too. It takes tremendous discipline to declare more than you have to in order to explain how you are managing to survive and if you store it at home, it is both easy to spend and invites theft.
A surprising number of dancers become accountants. That's not my backstory but I've encountered it a few times.
