Yes, and the Republicans in WI have a 2/3 majority in the State Senate. A Newly elected Senator (Knodl) said he would consider Impeaching the newly elected State Supreme court candidate who is a Liberal. So, I guess if you don't like someone's views, you can declare the election invalid and install your own people. Why even have elections then? I thought you had to do something wrong to get impeached. If you can impeach people for no reason, why stop at one Judge. They could just impeach every Liberal Judge on the Supreme Court at the same time.

It seems that everything the Republican party accuses the radical left of doing...they are actually doing in real life!

Didn't Wisconsin Republicans hamstring the elected Democratic Governor a few years ago - by removing all his powers?
Republicans are consolidating power whenever and where ever they can.

As the chants echoed throughout the Capitol, Jones, Johnson and Pearson approached the front of the House chamber with a bullhorn.
As the three shared the bullhorn and cheered on the crowd, Sexton, a Republican, quickly called for a recess. (From the link in the OP) I think the three earned sanctions. They are sworn members of a deliberative body that they disrupted in an inappropriate way while it was in session. If they had been in the hall with the protesters, that would be different. Then they would have been citizens raising their voices. But on the chamber floor, they are in an official role and should have behaved in accordance with its rules.

On the Natural Resources Board one Republican Member's term ended. They said that if the member with the expiring term did not voluntarily step down, the Governor could not appoint a new member. Why have terms then? Wisconsin is not a democracy by any stretch of the imagination.

This was substantial disruption of the orderly conduct of a legislative session by elected members of that body. The closest I can come up with on the Republican side is the shouts done at the State of the Union address and those were very brief, not preventing from Biden from proceeding. Plus to me that doesn't matter. What they did was wrong and deserving of sanctions. Expelled seems extreme unless there is more history I an not aware.

The three Tennessee Democrats were protesting something far more important to Tennessee republicans than free speech, religious freedom or the right to vote: firearms.

Both were interference with official legislative business, so rough comparison is fair. Have no idea what business was on the calendar that day in Tennessee so not sure how reasonable the "worse" fits. Do think we likely have a politician engaging in a bit of hyperbole which is shocking

I hope these three reps prevail. And if not, I hope their ouster sparks voter turnout for the next cycle.
It's about time a Democrats started showing some spine. Playing by the rules, and being polite, is not going to work with the modern Republican party. They tried that, and they weren't allowed to speak.
I can only hope more Democrats wake up and start showing they understand the importance of what they are fighting against with the modern Republican movement.
I will take reps that make a little noise, and bend a few etiquette rules, over those that hid behind "decorum" and continue to let children get slaughtered while shrugging and insisting there is nothing they can do.

There was no lie in the Tennessee House.

Yes but the J6 crowd came armed with implements (including a noose) and roamed the hallways calling specifically for certain Dem politicians - and for Pence. What would have happened if they’d found one of them? And there were House GOP reps that actively encouraged the J6 protest, even inviting organizers for guided tours of the capital before January 6th. After all, why did MTG feel like she needed to ask Trump for a pardon just 3 days after J6? On the other hand, I’m watching MSN right now and they have live coverage of people gathered at the TN capital, saving signs and chanting about anti-gun chants. A lot of them are school aged kids. As far as I’ve heard, no one has gotten hurt, and from what I saw, neither the protestors or Nashville cops were assaulting each other. Just loud protest, and when a Dem rep passes through, cheers, and boos for the GOP reps. Just a loud protest against the vote that will happen today to decide whether or not to boot the Dem reps out.

On TV last night, someone asked the GOP head of the TN House what would happen if these 3 reps. - all of them from very populated areas - got kicked out. Who would represent those districts? The GOP rep shrugged and said that was a problem for the districts, and they brought it on themselves by voting to elect these misbehaving reps. I guess maybe next time they will know better and vote for well behaved GOP reps who will fall in line and stand firmly against any kind of gun control - in Nashville. ![](https://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff155/JiminiChristmas/ymamsmiles/sad.png) WHich is not going over so well with Nashvillians - see my post above.

Really not sure how you conflate three elected officials approaching the podium and talking without permission, with armed yahoos storming a governmental building, attacking police officers, and vandalizing property. And the three representatives TRIED to have floor discussion. They were just summarily shut down. So yeah, when the other side refuses to have the conversation at all, and would rather just put their head in the sand, I'm more than okay with someone not following some made up rules of decorum put in place to support entrenched power structures. Some of these systems need some disrupting. Violence isn't okay, but talking without permission isn't violence.

If it is necessary to minimize the description of their behavior to make a point, it indicates a problem. Granted there is a significant difference in degree of action, however I was looking at the justification offered for action and not the actions themselves.

The J6 crowd wanted to remove Pence to prevent him from certifying the 2020 election so that another set of fake electors could be brought in and throw the election to Trump, circumventing a democratic election. The (mostly) school kids in Nashville wanted the House to have a legitimate debate on gun control/school safe, and when they were ignored they shouted through a bullhorn, disrupting the floor discussion. From what I can tell from the Tennessean they haven’t voted yet but the GOP did show a video that one of the GOPers took of the disruption, which could also be a violation of the House rules and ethics, but since it was done by the Pro Gun guys, no worries!!!
Also, outside, the chanting crowds of protesters shared snacks and pizza slices. The horror!!!!!
