School Shooting in Nashville today

This time it's at a private school.  Will this never end?     So far, they're reporting 3 students and 3 staff members have died, and also the shooter is dead.

Well at least this time Repubs can't claim it is because we are demasculating young men by asking for equality, or that we are disenfranchising them because girls don't want to have sex with them.

No the argument is going to be we have been forcing women to be more masculine which goes against our nature and this is a warning sign of what is to come.  It would really be better if we were all back in the home pregnant and raising babies like God intended.

I went to a private Christian school every Saturday when I was a child. It certainly fucked ME up. Everything was a sin and it imbued me with guilt, guilt, guilt. It took years of therapy to get over it.

I know we won't get answers today, but I still want them. What could have happened seventeen or more years ago that made killing teachers and students seem like a reasonable idea?

News conference just now announced the shooter was once a student at the school and she identified herself as transgender.

The dead were three nine year olds two girls and a boy.

The dead adults were a male custodian, a female substitute teacher and a female who roll in the school was not mentioned.  All three adults were around sixty years old.

and Katherine Koonce, 60, who was the head of the school, according to police.

My guess the woman was picked on to no end at this school when she attended. And now with Tennessee governor bill lee outlawing drag shows where children 'might' be present and pushing for no medical transition care for minors pushed her over the edge.

Plus the Tennessee House passed a bill allowing county clerks to refuse marriage licenses to same-sex and interracial couples if it is against the conscience or religious beliefs.

It remains to be seen if the Tennessee Senate also approves it. Probably will and the governor would probably sign it into law too.

Police have ongoing investigations at Hale’s address. Two assault-style rifles and a handgun were found in Hale’s possession, and maps of the school were also discovered. Drake stated that Hale had even considered another location as a potential target, but ultimately decided against it due to the high level of security.

Agreed. What I've read so far states everyone who was shot died.

This was literally my first thought when I heard about this shooting.  Someone at that school abused this woman, and she came back for revenge.  

I don't understand why she would target children though, unless they just got in the way of the people she was after.

Or she could just be very mentally unstable.  With a school shooting, one guess as to why it happened, is as good as any other.  We may never know.

She left a manifesto and some writings. I hope that sheds some light on why this happened. So far, the few people who spoke about her in articles I read had nothing bad to say.

My guess is, even as I’m typing this Marge Greene is hammering out a blistering screed claiming this is what happens when you ‘butcher’ young boys to immorally convert them to women - it makes the kid insane. And of course, as evil, God forsaken people, trans people target Christian schools. 

To which I would say - wouldn’t it be a good idea to introduce some gun control to that the insane people can’t get their hands on guns?  Or are we just going to hammer the trans people?

Sometimes the killers want families to suffer just like they have (for whatever reason). A community won't suffer if only the gun man/gun woman dies.
