My Introduction

Good Morning, Afternoon, and Evening......depending on where you are located. I am called Lynx and some may know me from other boards that I have frequented over the past 5 or 6 years.

I live in Toronto, Canada and have lived here all of my known life.....even though I was born in Hungary.

I am now a Senior Citizen and live with and look after my disabled wife whom I've been with since 1994. She became disabled in 2002....and knows nothing about Message Boards and in fact, very little about the Internet. I, on the other hand, have been involved  with the Internet all the way back to 2400 Baud Modems and XT computers with Hercules monitors and Dot Matrix printers....lol. My first communication foray was into the world of "BBS's" which, to me, were the first Message Boards.

I got involved with "IMDb" pretty much in their infancy because of my love and passion for Movies and History.....I was communicating with various older people connected with the Entertainment industry....and then....suddenly, Amazon pulled the plug on the Message boards ....and THAT'S when I started getting into them and learning about them.

I came here because a lady called Belle mentioned this place on another board we both frequent and when I came here, a short time ago, I found various interesting topics and people except, I also found that many of the messages and topics were quite old....some almost 10 years old.

Then, I committed the ultimate faux pas. I came across a board which intrigued me.....because it was password protected called Virgil's Inferno. I have never come across a password protected Sub Board before, therefore I was curious. I looked up the 2 Moderators of that board and found out they hadn't been around in a very long time so I thought asking them for the password would be futile. So, I sent a message to The Admin and that's when I found out I made a faux pas by nosing around such a short time after joining here.....I'm sorry......I truly am. I certainly do NOT want my reputation tarnished and whatever I can do to repair this error I am willing to do.

Therefore, what ever you wish to know about me, please ask....I will ALWAYS answer you....and.....I will ALWAYS tell you the truth. No subject is Taboo.

By the way, there was a posting about "banned books" which I copied and re-posted on 3 other boards because I found it very interesting. I hope you don't mind.

I look forward to our future learning and interaction together and once again, please forgive my stepping out of line.

Ahhh, I see. Yes, that can be a very volatile subject. I do have my own personal view on that which I will share whenever the time ....or place....is appropriate.

I'd eat all but the cherry. Might eat that one, too, depending on the format of the cherry. Creme, yes. Chocolate covered maraschino, absolutely not, lol. Sadly, that's not what's in the first photo.
