I used to watch them and my wife would make fun of me. Now she watches them.

I have always had a negative opinion of Hallmark movies. In the end, everybody wins and are live happily ever after.
I imagine some folks watching these movies sadly wonder why their lives, especially around Christmas, are less happy, more dysfunctional, than the people in these movies.
Folks - these characters in Hallmark movies are not real. These are not movies made about an actual event.

I remember sitting at my ex-in-laws house watching this:
Ex's mother asked why we all found it so hilarious.

I am a sucker for a hallmark movie, though I am very suspect of their motives. Almost every Christmas movie seems to involve a career woman realizing she is unfulfilled and needs a man, a less stressful job, and a move to the country. Does Hallmark own a bunch of rural/small town real estate they are trying to unload?

Or they are trying to hold onto a dying business their parent left them, even though they are offered a fortune for the real estate said business is housed in. Why can’t they take the money and move the business to another location?

Why are there so many princes/princesses in holiday movies? What does royalty have to do with Christmas?
These movies are a total guilty pleasure to me for all of November/December....its like reality tv is for my mom. I know they are garbage movies, but I just can't help myself.
Netflix ones are the best, followed by Hallmark, and lastly Lifetime. The lifetime ones are just garbage! I only watch them if I have watched everything else....
And the Holderness family (posts 2, 3, and 4) is funny AF! I follow them on Facebook. They made some great videos during the pandemic.

I found myself watching The Noel Diary on Netflix a couple seeks ago. It had an interesting story-line. In the end it was a Christmas story but not a soppy mess.

There was more to the story than the 2 main characters falling in love.

Lindsay Lohan's new Netflix movie was god awful! That's too bad. She was a good, younger actor.

If you like Hallmark movies you should watch RuPaul's spoof of them "The Bitch Who Stole Christmas".

Yes, and the whole plot of her getting amnesia and no one knowing who she is! She's basically a Paris Hilton heiress. Everyone in the town would have known who she was. I know they plots aren't great in any Christmas movies, but come on!
