The only thing I wanted for Black Friday was a milk frother, because my DIL (who is coming for Christmas, they come several times a year) loves frothed milk in her coffee. She has a very fancy coffee machine that does frothed milk. I have a very simple one that doesn't. I found a milk frother on Amazon, for 9 euros (about 9 dollars), in black or silver. They also had a red one (our kitchen accent color). I really wanted the red one, but it was 18 euros, so twice the price. DH said, just get the red one. But I couldn't justify paying twice the price for a red one. Tonight my Amazon basket told me that the red one I really want is on sale for 13.5 euros, instead of 18. It's still more expensive than the grey or black one, but hey. I just ordered it. I'm happy LOL. I hope my DIL will be happy too. What deals have you guys found?!

Black Friday bragging…
We don’t do Black Friday. As a matter of fact, we do practically no shopping at all!
We are traveling back to NETN tomorrow from Austin, hopefully we won’t have to deal with too much traffic.

Black Friday bragging… We don’t do Black Friday. As a matter of fact, we do practically no shopping at all! Join the club! My built-in microwave is making funny rubbing noises (and no, it's not the dish or the turntable hitting the inside). I decided to check out Costco. Yeah, they have one on sale- for $2,029. The fine print says that a second visit may be required for installation. I don't care if it chops vegetables and can be controlled from my smartphone. Maybe I need to visit Nebraska Furniture Mart one of these days. They've been touting Black Friday deals for weeks. I'm tired of it already.

Once my kids got out of the toys and electronics phases, black Friday became the shop for me day of the year. This year I haven't seen anything that I really want yet.
I did score DS a good sized compact fridge and freezer for $219. The one in his apartment does not get cold enough to keep milk from spoiling and his LL isn't keen on replacing it.
Ordered from Walmart Saturday, and FedEx was in the driveway on Sunday. I didn't plan that.

The price of appliances is getting ridiculous! I just checked Nebraska Furniture Mart. Theirs start at about $250 and go up from there. The one Costco had on sale also did convection cooking (which my wall oven does), steaming and other functions I don't care about. The NFM is about 40 minutes away and I can buy what's in stock and talk to a human about installation. Besides, they're a Berkshire company and I'm a shareholder!

My microwave cost $1600 almost 20 years ago, but we love and use the fancy cooking settings. It makes no ac in the summer bareable, so was worth the price. I'll cry when it dies.

I missed out on a bed frame sale. By the time I talked myself into spending the money, the 50% was gone.
I have a cart filled at Amazon with Christmas and birthday gifts for the kids I'll pull the trigger on today or tomorrow. I don't think I'm getting much that's on sale though.

Appliances don't last that long anymore! I plan to do more research and see what the higher-end ones do that I might actually use. No need to rush into a Black Friday purchase.

Dh is watching for robot vacuum bc ours have bit the dust. We might get two.
I'm also asking him to spring for a robot litter box.
He found a new printer and already has it set up. Wifi function never worked on our old one which was a hassle for me wfh and now a total hassle with dd14 laptop. This printer uses different/cheaper ink.
He also replaced our smaller, lighter vacuum.

I even balked a little at that. There are so many people practically giving good microwaves away on Facebook and Craigslist, the last one I got was really nice for $50. If it would have matched my new stove I wouldn't have replaced it. We hardly ever use the microwave though so don't care about anything fancy.

So far all we've bought is Paramount + for a year without ads for $50 and some kind of fume extractor for DH's welder. Not sure what else we are looking for this year.

I bought boring things and I'm done with Black Friday.
1. Turbo Tax 2. Ancestry at 50% off plus another 20% from Rakuten Very happy with that purchase 3. ESPN Plus at a discount
I'm not looking at any more shopping sites. That was my list so I'm done.

Still figuring out how to find the good women's bball games. If you think of it, IM me when you see some.

I don't usually shop Black Friday or Cyber Monday but I'll check to see if Lush Cosmetics is offering any sort of deals so I can order my friend's gift.

I'm about to cut the ties with Direct TV, so I got the Hulu for $1.99 a month and Paramount plus for $49 a year.

My tennis team is choosing print skirts and tops. There was a BOGO but we missed out on it. We did get 40% off free ship ending tomorrow. As of now, just 2 people have not ordered. Each one of us has to set up an account because there is free returns but it's exchange or store credit so no one wants the store credit of another person on their account.
So far, 5 people didn't know how to order online. We did have one skirt to try for size, which helped. This is my first time to be in a women's league in probably 10 years. Also the old leagues did not have team outfits and travel to play other groups. So far I am fitting in okay. I have played for the resort team for 4 years. And have this team's outfit colors.

I nearly bit on a cordless stick vacuum. Not a dyson. H. said don't order anything. Then he orders an electric snow thrower to be delivered to our son's house.

My dishwasher decided to quit the other day so I got a new one. It's a $900 dishwasher that I got for $550. Of course after the installation fee, taxes, extended warranty and hoses it ended up being $900 and change. So I look at it as I got all the extras for free.

I will order photo albums today at 70% off from snapfish.com. I have been trying to get photos from sil since 2017 which I've finally given up on so I have a few years of catch up for us and dh's parents. Im pretty sure my parents are caught up through 2019, but I need to double check. I updated through 2021 while I was waiting for my last day at old job. So I might spend a ton.

I've been doing pretty well so far. I spent $35 on three gifts...two are to donate for toys for tots for the kids' school. Full price, it would have been more like 60ish.
I also saved 10+ off some marble run magnatiles for the missy. $30 was my price range. And I got her that. ETA: Costco saves us just as much money, too. I paid $20 less, each on two bigger lego sets, about 20-25% off. They aren't on sale at all, either through the lego store, amazon, or target.

so been thinking of splurging on a robot vac. Not sure if i should get the roomba/braava of the roomba j7 combo. I don't want to use the only approved liquid cleaner for the units, so would only be able to use water with the j7, if getting separate roomba and braava, i could put water in the brava, and they just spot spray with white vinegar or watered down murphy oil soap, or do a gentle general spray in the middle of rooms. My only concern with the two unit solution is the amount of space they take up. I have robot litter box, and it takes up so much space...... Give me your thought!!! time is tickin on black friday deals....

I bought stuff from Costco, toys for great-nieces and nephews from Amazon, and have in the cart some clothes at Talbots and a wok at Pampered Chef. I may or may not go ahead with those. After the past 6 months of rampant consumerism, outfitting this home, I don't have any large purchasing plans. I already got my extended family Bombas socks and DH a photographer's backpack.
