IP, long....international paper.
Getting ready here for the hurricane, Ian. Looks more & more like we may get some direct effects from it. Will know more on Mon. or Tue. cause it can do anything like Charlie did when that storm turned & hit Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte. We went down to help clean up after that storm...ended up with 2 flat tires & was lucky to get the last 2 tires of that size any place close.
I lived in or near Punta Gorda for several years...my first MIL lived there, but had passed before Charlie hit.
Keep your fingers crossed for us. But if I don't post, don't worry...our power will likely be out.

Mine should have gone WAY up after this hurricane (toilet tissue & paper towels). I've been preparing and worrying...and all for nothing. It didn't come close to us at all. We just got some of the winds today. However, it is back to hurricane again & headed straight for my grandson in Charlotte, N.C.
The 2 counties in Fl. that were hit so hard...Charlotte Co., I used to live there...near or in Punta Gorda. We kept our horses at a ranch in Lee Co. (Ft. Myers/Cape Coral). So I know that area pretty well...feel so bad for the folks in that area. We went down after Hurricane Charley and helped clean up. It looks like it's worse this time due to the surge. The house where we helped may not be there any more after that surge...you could see Charlotte Harbor from the front yard of that house.
I hope all of the posters here who live in that area are safe.
If Mod were still with us, he would likely have had to evac. I have a friend who is in charge of emergency in Orlando's county...she has had her hands full due to the flooding from the heavy rains. Saw one picture of a car stalled in Orlando, the flood waters were up to & starting to cover the hood of the car.
