Liz is, of course, Liz Weston, a big part of the history of this group.
She's doing some interesting work over at NerdWallet, mostly podcasts. Although NerdWallet is mostly aimed at a younger audience than most here, and riddled with product placement, you may want to check out her latest work or keep an eye on what she's up to. In her most recent podcast she does a nice job of examining how competing financial priorities many not be as much in conflict as they first appear and just how poorly some widely spewed advice can serve some people. I've always found LW really fascinating to read or listen to, even when she's talking about does not appear to apply to me. She's got a knack for talking about money that helps listeners and readers see possibilities instead of restrictions and rules. I know that I sound like a fangirl at best, a shill at worst, but I really like her work.
Do any of the rest still follow her? Do you feel the same way about her?

I read her whenever I notice a piece she's authored. I do respect her knowledge and ability to drive down to the fundamentals, and appreciate her point of view.

I, too, read her articles. I do use NerdWallet as a "credible source" for info (or when pointing someone else to a place to look/find info). I didn't realize she was doing podcasts. I've managed to avoid podcasts for the most part... I think I need to start listening.

It's quite difficult to find her podcasts on NerdWallet. There is no archive of SmartMoney podcasts so I have only been able to find them when I am lucky enough to find a link from her webpage or a link to related podcasts within the transcript of the podcast.
Frankly, I find the much younger collaborators much younger and lacking in expertise. They can't hold a candle to Liz and she frequently stops them from making fools out of themselves. Sometimes, when listening instead of reading, I find myself disregarding every voice but Liz's.
OTOH, there is something quite generous about trying to talk with young people about money. You can really change lives.
