How is everyone doing this fine afternoon? ;D
I am in surprising great mood today. My envelopes are full of mulla, my bills are paid, budget spreadsheet updated...car full of gas and fridge stacked with healthy food. I also budgeted to give my mom some money this week, so that felt pretty good. To top it off, it's Saturday! I am getting ready to go downstairs and workout a little bit so I can drive the ladies crazy this summer... This is going to be great day today. My final payment posted on my first victim card today and my balance on that card shows $0. They can now kiss my a$$.
So what's the plans for today? Anything exciting?
My "Fun" envelope has $50 in it for next 2 weeks. My friend is coming over (my debt payoff buddy), we will have couple drinks here to save money by not staying at a bar all evening, talk some money, about future without debt and how our budgets look...and then we are all going to see my other friend's band play at this one place. I will probably have a beer or two there and will spend maybe 10 bucks or so.
I love being on a budget!!!!!
That is all...carry on...

I'm pretty happy this fine Saturday too, and for a very similar reason as you - yesterday's deposit of close to $10k from a stock settlement was a long-awaited one. it will pay off 2 cards and pretty close to a 3rd one. the only "victim card" left, to use your words, is one that has a 2.99% interest rate until the balance is paid off. it's got about $5k left to go, but I am in no rush since that rate is fixed so low. I'm starting to research better places to put my $$ than paying stupid debt. tonight, I'm meeting some friends I haven't seen in awhile. we're going to see a band play in Boston ($20 ticket, it's at a dive bar) and meeting beforehand to watch the B's hopefully tie the series. all in all, should be a great night. sounds like you've got a great night planned too, have fun!

I'm glad you're in a good mood! I'm putting a concerted effort into being in a good mood. I've been pretty cranky all week. Have a great day!

I managed to sell a household item this week. All of that money is going towards my credit card with the highest interest rate. It feels great to watch that balance go down! ;D

I'm working OverTime again today, so that's another few hundred toward the dream house ;D The one-day weekend kind of sucks, but got to work the OT while it's still available, may not see much the next couple years.

They can now kiss my a$$. LOL - wasn't it you who went to your lender, hat in hand, and asked them to lend you $16,000 of their money? And they stated the terms and handed you their cash? And now, suddenly they are the adversaries?

It was like 3200 bucks.. but yeah.. I agree.. it was them. I was just stupid enough to take their offer. Actually, why they can kiss my ass is because they raised my rate from like 4% to 22% for no reason at all. When I called them and tried to plead with them to lower my rate back to what it was, the guy from India told me he can't do anything about it. So I asked if he could transfer me to someone who could and he said "Nope...nobody here can do this, sorry" I called back many time and got a same story. So that's why they can kiss my ass I won't say that about Amex because they been good to me. Citi and Chase too...
