not sure if I will be here for Monday's opening bell, so can you put me down for Valmont Industries, ticker VMI next week?
Not sure why I would go long for this company the way the markets are, but I will. If utilities are actually spending money on new infrastructure/transmission lines, etc, they should have a good earnings report as well as a positive outlook for new orders.
Or not..........

I've tried promoting on other threads before but usually didn't get much response. I will try to post an invite on some of the market threads and see if there is any interest. Congrats to dj and Uncle. i was thinking that you and uncle got tangled up in the reins. the thing about commodities is that they tend to be more persistent in trending. they are not as subject to market vagaries as equities are. i am kind of tired of good stocks going down in bear markets at this juncture. and believe me, i have suffered just as much as any of you for that fact this year. i am off probably 20%. this board has allowed me to experiment. i have learned something. whether i apply it remains to be seen.  |

kind of wishing i went long on it right now, but i agree. it has had TOO MUCH of a run the last month. it is due for a correction. Evidently Putin cut the ng line going to Germany from Russsia from 40% capacity to just 20% today. NG here in the states will stay up for a while on that news in anticipation of sending some over to Europe. |
