Watched President Biden award the 2022 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients on C-Span this afternoon. Congratulations to all. A list of the recipients is in the first linked article below. I was aware of some of the names of some of the recipients as they had been announced earlier. While watching the ceremony one guy looked familiar and I thought "Could it be?" Yes it was. His name is Khizr Khan. 2016 candidate trump went after Gold Star father Khizr Khan and his wife Gold Star Mother Ghazala Khan. Their son, a member of the U.S. military was killed in combat in 2004 during the war in Iraq. Trump was roasted for his attack on the Khan family. Article about that in the second link.
