It just so happened the wife and I re-watched Red and Red 2 yesterday. Then had a couple hours left until bedtime so started to watch the new limited series The Old Man on Hulu (it is a FX show). It was amazing how the premise is basically the same, old retired spy, but oh the contrast! Light and dark, actually both in tone and filming. Looking forward to seeing the rest of episodes of this new one. Found it grabbing.

Thanks for this post. I had no idea about the TV series. Just did search and hit record all. I have watched Red and Red 2 a few times.  Looking forward to TV series now. Googled it. Looks interesting. |

Reading now it isn't going to be a limited series. Damn. I was looking forward to them having to have an ending. Me too. I've only watched two TV shows from day one till the very last episode in all my years of TV watching and it's a lot. This won't be one of them. My attention span for series is that of a gnat  Of course if it shows up as repeats down the road I'll set DVR and watch it over a period of "years" like I've been doing with some shows now that I quit on after two years. No, not binge watching just whenever the mood hits me.  |

There have been numerous periods in my life I have not had a television so that had an obvious impact. My current lifestyle and wife has lead to more consistent watching. Probably not a totally good thing.  |

I have been watching this also. I like it except I find the flashback scenes in Afghanistan boring so I FF through them. Otherwise pretty good.
Bills billisonboard this was filmed before they renewed it as an ongoing series so I am thinking tonight's finale will have some kind of ending.
