Has anyone ever had this happen?
Someone applied for some loans in my name. They used my email, that's how I was notified.
I have contacted the companies and advised they are fraudulent applications, changed my email password, put a fraud alert on my credit report with the 3 credit reporting agencies, notified my bank, and filed a police report.
Anything else i should do?

I had someone file state tax returns in both Maryland and Michigan. Got Lifelock as a result

Freeze your credit. My DH's identity was stolen and it was a daily game of whack a mole even with the fraud alert. It ended when he froze his credit.
Also check the title to your house. They tried to take a HELOC on our house. My sister in law said scammers had been changing titles on people's houses.
It does seem to have died down several years later. When he has to unfreeze his credit for something, there have been no issues. He always refreezes it because it's just easier.

I might actually lock my credit with the bureaus, it's not a huge PITA to unlock when you need it (I got Equifaxed in 2017, along with half the country).
also - reach out to the SS administration. my dad had his info stolen awhile back, someone filed tax returns under his info for jobs worked in Chicago (where my dad has never been...) including matching paperwork for I-9 and W-4 forms. if they actually used your SS# in addition to that email, you don't want to leave that unchecked.

This. Freeze your credit with the 3 bureaus and when you need to finance something, open a credit card, etc. unfreeze it. My wife and I were both a part of the equifax breach and we've had our credit frozen since then except when we unfroze it about 18 months ago to refinance.

I guess I used the wrong term. I did freeze my credit, not just the fraud alert. I've contacted so many people/places that I'm using the wrong terms.

Have you contacted your credit card companies? Even though the fraud was not on a card, they may advise new account numbers and replacement cards for safety's sake.

Someone used my SSN with the name of a dead priest to try to get some kind of credit.
I spent a day straightening it out. Because the credit was frozen, it didn't work. Because of the fraud alert, I was notified.
Nothing bad has happened, but it was a wasted day making phone calls.

My concern right now is the property deed fraud. Is there anything that can be done to prevent that?

I just remembered that any property we have bought had to go through a title company for a deed search. We paid for the title (I think) insurance.

Mortgage lenders usually require that the borrower buy title insurance that protects the lender. Title insurance that protects the borrower is at the option of the borrower. Maybe one the attorneys here will chime in, but I don’t think that a title search and confirmation of valid ownership is required by the county that maintains the title records. All they do is record the documents that are presented. If there is a question about who the legal owner of a piece of property is, I expect that the lawyers and the court end up sorting it out.

Its not. If the deed and supporting papers are in correct form and the fee is paid, that's all they require.

In Iowa, when real estate is sold, the abstract has to be brought up to date. The buyer pays for it. I have the abstract on this house. It goes back to the first time it was ever titled.
There are some interesting things in the abstracts. The abstract for the house my parents lived in contained the will transferring the property to the husband only when the wife died.
It is not cheap to have an abstract brought up to date here.
