Two deplorable 'humans' and I use that word loosely. Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham Ridiculously Rip Biden's Reaction To Texas School ShootingA president demanding solutions to prevent mass shootings was apparently too much for Fox News hostsTucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham on Tuesday. (Watch the videos below.) The right-wing TV personalities ripped President Joe Biden for urging lawmakers to pass “commonsense gun laws” after a gunman killed at least 19 grade-school students and two adults in Uvalde, Texas. “Why are we willing to live with this carnage?” Biden told viewers in a White House speech that also offered condolences, prayers and personal reflections. Carlson, the conservative news channel’s prime-time star, accused the president of “desecrating the memory of recently murdered children with tired talking points of the Democratic Party, dividing the country in a moment of deep pain rather than uniting.” Someone in the Fox News studio could be heard clapping as he spoke. Ingraham, on her show, called Biden’s words “despicable.” “He spoke tonight because politics is selfish. Because in today’s twisted world, it’s considered perfectly appropriate to exploit the massacre of innocent little kids in order to try to turn around your own sagging poll members,” she said on “The Ingraham Angle.” Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham Ridiculously Rip Biden's Reaction To Texas School Shooting

And another asshole. I'm thinking the parents of the deceased children would have preferred their child come back to them. Article was published before t h e death toll climbed. Republican Who Represents Uvalde Ripped for Twitter Response, Gun Support
Social media responded negatively to Representative Tony Gonzales social media message following a deadly mass shooting in his district. Republican Representative Tony Gonzales of Texas, who had previously stated his aversion to any gun control legislation, is getting slammed for his social media response following a shooting that killed 15 people, including 14 children. Gonzales, who represents Texas' 23rd Congressional District including the city of Uvalde, on Tuesday afternoon posted a message on Twitter that his "heart breaks for the city of Uvalde," directing people to pray for those affected along with a Bible verse mentioning young children. Soon after his post went up, people began responding with screenshots of tweets from Gonzales reminding him of his previous comments on gun control, including one from March 2021 where he wrote that he had "voted NO on two gun control measures in the House today" and that he is a "proud supporter of the Second Amendment and will do everything I can to oppose gun grabs from the far left." "Tony Gonzales said the 'radical left wants to take your guns,' celebrated his perfect grade from the NRA, received just shy of the max contribution from the NRA PAC [and] voted against the violence against women act and firearm background checks," the user wrote. Local news also had a tweet from Fineman (I think that was the name) about it too.

And now this. The Right’s Transphobic Disinfo Campaign About the Uvalde Shooter Is By Design
Why did figures like Paul Gosar spread rumors that the Uvalde shooter was a trans woman? Consider it another escalation in the war against LGBTQ people led by conservative agitators, who have weaponized identity to fit their goals In the hours after the shooting that left 19 children and two adults dead in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday, observers scrambled to find details about the person and motives behind the tragic event. Unsurprisingly, some people jumped to support a false rumor that originated on the toxic forums of 4chan: That the 18-year-old shooter was a trans woman. The original poster stole and reposted profile pictures from a completely unrelated trans Redditor, who has since gone public to debunk the claims that they are the shooter, Salvator Ramos, who was ultimately killed by law enforcement after a half-hour rampage. We know now that the shooter, like many other young, aggrieved male killers, had an unstable home life and personal relationships. He was kicked out of his mother’s house and lived with his grandparents, who admitted Ramos didn’t attend school in 2021. Instead, he spent time alone between juggling shifts at a local Wendy’s, where coworkers found him to be quiet but also strangely aggressive. Then, on his birthday on May 16th, he bought two rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. He didn’t leave behind a thick “manifesto” like the Buffalo shooter, so the potential motive remains less clear. But none of this information was enough to satiate observers on the far-right, who seized the opportunity to instead roll with a lazy rumor and gin up hysteria around trans people. Nobody should be surprised. This is less of an error and more cruelty by design — and it should be obvious now that, despite complaining about the left’s supposed obsession with identity politics, it’s always right-wing agitators who weaponize identity to fit their poisonous worldview, no matter the consequences. How else to explain Rep. Paul Gosar angrily snapping back at a random person on Twitter who wondered whether there was a far-right connection for the Uvalde tragedy? Turns out, Gosar didn’t know anything at all — he quietly deleted the tweet hours later, sans apology. Nonetheless, the damage was done, with the anti-trans, anti-immigrant talking point spreading like wildfire among his fanbase. Elsewhere, there were leaders like Nelson Albino, a regional director with the Republican National Hispanic Assembly who boldly decided to spread the disinformation from 4chan, even commentating on how firearms aren’t the problem, mental health is — conflating trans identity as a mental disorder, which has become a common talking point in the conservative war against trans people. This is dangerous rhetoric that attempts to justify the oppression of trans people as a matter of “public safety”; nonetheless, Albino offered no correction or apology on Twitter, even as his message was censored for breaking the platform’s rules. Republican Ghouls Send Identical Tweets After 19 Kids Killed in School Shooting
A mass shooter killed 19 children and two adults at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday. And Republican politicians took to Twitter in the wake of this tragedy to express their condolences. But if you look closely, you’ll notice something odd. Many of the messages were identical, as though they’re all just copying and pasting the same tweets from the last mass shooting. There seems to be a formula for how right-wing politicians are now responding to mass shootings on social media that goes something like this: I am [HORRIFIED, HEARTBROKEN, ETC] at the senseless tragedy in [LOCATION] today. We are [LIFTING THEM UP IN PRAYER, PRAYING FOR THEM] and thank the heroic efforts of [POLICE, FIRST RESPONDERS, ETC] on the scene. That’s it. No promise that laws will be passed to help stop these mass shootings from happening again; no recognition that the U.S. is the only wealthy country in the world where mass shootings happen frequently; no acknowledgement that children in other countries don’t have to participate in active shooter drills. The only thing politicians can muster is “thoughts and prayers” and “thank God for our cops.” Take a look at some of the tweets from yesterday, with an emphasis in the text from Gizmodo to show just how identical these statements really are. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky: Horrified and heartbroken by reports of the disgusting violence directed at innocent schoolkids in Uvalde, Texas. The entire country is praying for the children, families, teachers, and staff and the first responders on the scene. Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee: Horrified and heartbroken to learn of the significant loss of life in the shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Please join me in lifting their loved ones up in prayer. Thank you to the local first responders working on the scene. Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona: This is heartbreaking and soul wrenching. Our prayers are with the parents, families, students and staff of Robb Elementary in Uvalde, TX at this unimaginable time. Thankful for the heroic efforts of medical pros, law enforcement and community members who responded so quickly. Sen. John Hoeven of North Dakota: We’re horrified by the news out of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX today. Mikey and I are heartbroken for the families and loved ones of the victims & grateful for the first responders and law enforcement who worked to save lives. Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia: Marty, the girls, and I are heartbroken over news from Uvalde, Tx. For children and innocent adults, including the school teacher, to be taken from this world in such a depraved, violent way, it is incomprehensible. We are lifting up the families of these victims, the first responders on the scene, and the entire community in prayer. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas: Heidi & I are fervently lifting up in prayer the children and families in the horrific shooting in Uvalde. We are in close contact with local officials, but the precise details are still unfolding. Thank you to heroic law enforcement & first responders for acting so swiftly. Cruz’s statement was identical to a statement he made back in October 2021 after another school shooting in Texas: Rest of article here: Republican Ghouls Send Identical Tweets After 19 Kids Killed in School Shooting

It would be nice if they would even consider reviewing the procedures in gun buying for young men. One RW pol wanted to blame mental illness, which is just a cop out to deny the desire to harm is within many. After all, less than a year ago, some people where willing to hang Mike Pence simply because of what Trump said.
Maybe the process needs to be more stringent below a certain age. Apparently if someone had sifted through his social media it would have been obvious this 18 yr old should not have any.
