That the mother knew there was a woman in the home with her son and then used a key to let herself into his home is creepy and unacceptable. Change the locks and give the spare key to someone more trustable.

I lurk on AITA on Reddit and there was this woman whose husband died. Her son allowed her to move in for awhile, but mom started coming to their bedroom after the door was closed at night, interrupting any intimacy.
His wife but a note on the door telling her that unless she wanted to see their f#$&ing, don’t knock. Son got pissed off at wife, but talked to mom. Turned out, her intention was to keep them from conceiving a child, because then mom wouldn’t be number one in son’s life.

I wouldn't be surprised if the mom in the OP did this to drive the new woman off.

Mom has been sent home and son is making it up to wife. Responders also suggested son get therapy as chances are this was not an isolated incident.

I don't know if anyone watched the video, but I found it extremely creepy. Going into your adult child's home without notice because you have a key is bad enough. Actually going into the bedroom and putting yourself in the bed with them without asking is beyond any sense of decency IMO.

I ended up taking it from her because she was being disrespectful. But never anything as remotely weird as this. I have adult children, and I wouldn’t walk into their homes unexpectedly if I had a key, unless I had reason to believe something had happened to them. I never even just walked in my Grandmother’s house even though I had a key. She fussed at me about not just letting myself in, but I still never did it. I’d rather not see either of my children laying in bed with a significant other, and I most definitely would not get in bed with them. The fuck?!

Will have to use the idea next time I am at a large dinner table with a few rude people I disagree with. 'The Right Move': Internet Supports Man Who Farted To Help His Girlfriend

Uhhmmm, asking to put yourself in bed with them is already beyond crazy IMO. Entering a bedroom that is not yours to use (this caveat is added because I use the guest room with a twin bed when I have a couple staying over for the night so they have the queen) is beyond ridiculous. But that may just be me.
