I’ve had another sleepless night, getting in and out of bed. I woke up 2 hours after I went to sleep, and have been awake since then. I am sooo sleepy and tired, and of course, feel like crap. And I’m limping because for some reason, my left hip is hurting and it doesn’t want to act right when I stand up from sitting down, or step up. I have to hold on to something. I almost fell getting up the first time I went to the bathroom because I wasn’t expecting any of that. If I hadn’t been so close to a wall, I probably would’ve hit the floor. I swear! I’ve had a lot of random aches and pains over the years, due to my job. Most of them have gone away on their own, so I don’t get too excited when a new one first pops up and go to the Doctor if it persists or gets worse.
One of the union guys at work has been gathering information from me over the last 2 days, because he’s filing a grievance about my letter of warning, which I received last week. Not because either of us think it’s not warranted, since I’ve been way outside of the rules, for a long time, but because he has the same concern I do about it escalating before I get things under control better. So after talking about it a few times during the day, he came to my work area yesterday afternoon and told me that “they” are trying to work it out so that basically I’ll have 90 days to get my shit together, and after that, if I’m still missing work, I’m fair game. I think “they” means he talked to the lady in management that is handling it on the labor side, but I’m not sure.
He asked me if I am under a Doctor’s care for treating my physical issues, and if I’ve actually been diagnosed with depression, as in, is it in my medical records. I looked online at my records with my PCP, and boyyyy is it in there. For every visit starting in December, excluding the one for the UTI, it says “recurrence of major depression without psychic symptoms” or something like that. Well, I hadn’t been thinking “major”. Geesh! Every visit has abdominal pain and nausea. Anxiety is in there, and the hair loss. I’ve known him since the day I started working there, and we actually became friends, so I trust him enough that I let him see that part and asked him if that was sufficient. And of course, I’m still seeing the GI NP.
He asked if the EAP lady knows that worrying about my job was one of the things that stressed me out when my issues got really bad and constant. I said I told her everything at my first appointment, the physical stuff, how and why I got so stressed out to the point I got depressed and experienced what my PCP said was anxiety, and that I’d started virtual counseling in December, but stopped after about 3 months because I didn’t feel like she was helping me. He said that’s good, and the EAP counts as far as continuing to get help for depression. My employer is not entitled to details about anything as far as diagnosis, but the point is being able to show that I have some serious issues that I have been and still am going to health care providers for, including the mental health resource my employer provides and recommends. Fortunately, every single time I’ve gone to a Doctor or had an appointment to have a test done, since I first saw the stupid GI Doctor in August, I’ve asked for something saying I was there that day. I still have all of that, and I will keep getting the statements at every appointment I have. It’s easy to get whatever I might need from the EAP lady, I see her again 7/11.
This guy is pretty much the best and most knowledgeable union steward we have. He’s been doing this for over 30 years, and is very passionate about it. He kept assuring me yesterday that I’m not in danger of getting fired, I guess because I told him how worried I’ve been about that, and how that was contributing to the stress that I HAVE to get under control in order to get better.
If they work out what he said yesterday that they are working on, I feel like that is more than fair, and actually generous. I think that the facts that I’ve not had any kind of discipline in 25 years, or ever done anything even remotely close to something like this, I’m not a problem employee as far as doing my job, and I have a paper trail that proves I’ve been trying to fix it even though I don’t have the kind of documentation they normally require, all help the chances that I might be shown some Grace. If so, I will be grateful.

We're going to Book of Mormon tonight and I'm kicking myself because I only looked for something to wear last night. I really only have time on lunch to tackle 1 thing - hair, shoes, or outfit and Im not loving anything in the outfit or shoes department. But I've also been super dizzy last night and this morning so I'm going to wear jeans and boots so that solves that problem I guess.

Close, of course being relative..like 3 hours away vs 14. Have fun. We listened to a few songs in the car.

Haha. I just told DH and DD1. DD1 asked if you had another ticket, and she said she'd be willing to walk.

Listening to DH watching an infomercial about a "slim" wallet. It has been going on for 5 minutes and does not sound like it is ending any time soon - he never has that long of an attention span when it comes to videos. I am about to tell him that he has reached "old man" status.
Backstory - He received a free little pocket with an adhesive back that he used to carry ID and credit card into the ballpark to avoid having to carry his regular wallet. I think it is meant to stick on your phone. He has used it the last couple of weeks to carry the same stuff into work and it ripped the other day. I guess he really liked it.

I am so freaking tired. Work does not end lately it's like drinking out of a fire hose. Then my allergies have been acting up to the point where I am not sure if I have a sinus infection or a head cold. Want to go home and take a nap.

Just watching Governor Shapiro's presser at 95 collapse site. The plan was to build a temporary roadway on the inside, permanent construction will happen on the outer lanes, then the temp road will be removed and construction will start on the inner lanes. Twelve days after the collapse, 95 will reopen at noon today. Just insane how good leadership can effect efficient change. Keep your eye out for Josh Shapiro on the national stage!
ETA: The temporary road is opening. Construction still needs to start on the permanent bridge. My post might have been a little vague on that part.

If it helps, the theater is like anything else these days - people dress all across the board. Super dressy, bus casual, jeans and my fav the real theater geeks who coordinate their outfits to the show. Can't wait to see who turns up for Beauty and the Beast tonight at the Muny. Me, I'll be in jean shorts and a polo - outside venue.

There is something blooming right now that is sending my allergies into high gear. I took some Zyrtec this morning and it seems to have beat it back some. My sneezing has stopped and my head is clearing.
Last night we went to have a drink at SLAP. We left to go eat at the club. As part of our membership, we need to eat $300/quarter, or we will be billed that regardless. Normally this is not an issue, but we have to do this by the end of June. I think we are about halfway there after dinner last night.
Looks like it’s going to be a gorgeous day out today.

I didn’t have a lot of dressy clothes with me, so wore khakis and a black cashmere sweater. About half the audience was in jeans and sneakers. I was not underdressed.

I found myself in France one June, and I was having serious issues as quickly as the first day. I ended up doubling up on Zyrtec (12h intervals) for the week I was there and a couple days after getting home, just to get through.

I finished all I'm doing at the PO. I did not get the back of the door painted into the small lobby. I had to get all that awful silicon off the frame and did, but what a job. Then another coat of paint on it. After that I scrubbed the floor in there one more time. It looks pretty good compared to how it was when I started. Told her I would be back after my trip and see what I can do for the inside door. Needs to be a ton of masking for the grill on the door and I ran out of time.
I brought the big blind home to wash and clean.
I am beat, going to take a soaking bath, wash and fix my hair and take a nap. I feel for Pink, not sleeping well 2 nights this week has left me exhausted. I used to have tons of stomach issues, but pantaprozole helps me, I take it every night before bed. But this week something wrong, likely too much coffee and soda. I need to stop those again and not start back up.

Finally, got DH's new watch registered and a user guide printed out for him. Aldi trip is history, I just need to portion out and rewrap the chicken tenders for the freezer. I think this afternoon I'll catch up on recorded junk like Dr. Pimple Popper and 90 Day Fiancee

Remember all the drama with the neighbor's dog and them leaving her tied up all day in the heat? I thought they'd rehomed the dogs because she disappeared. Well, she reappeared the other day with a litter of puppies. I heard a funny noise earlier it's a bunch of puppies in a crate in the front yard crying. The mom is tied up under the porch and it's 86* here today. I called animal control and they are there now. It appears as if nobody is coming to the door. I hope they take all these dogs from them this time.

I'd bring all that up and tell Mister it's all cumulative. Pink can only control what she can control and that currently is her diet and her job. Mister has to control the rest and if he cannot do that then he is part of the problem. There is only one way that Pink can control Mister's impact on her life and I don't think either of them want that exactly.
But it may be what he needs to shake him up. It doesn't have to be an ultimatum of "Fix it or get out". More of a "This is where things are headed if they don't change. I can only control myself I cannot control you. You need to decide what is more important to YOU so we can decide what path to take going forward".

Spying through my doorbell is not working because they have a bunch of shrubbery on their side of the fence. That and I can't hear. I can see the truck is still there. I may have to go to my BR for an aerial view.

I missed this because I had to turn my attention to a work meeting, but all five Philly sports mascots were the first to ride across the temporary 95 road. 😂😂
