That's probably due to the infection. I've had that happen with one. But I have that happen anyway as does DD since we lost weight. I have no idea why. They tried meds for me didn't help and DD takes one that I don't think does anything. I remind her of bathroom before bed and at times during the day. Another item I have to now remind her of.I keep hearing some of the health care you folks have or lack of and it's starting to make me appreciate the docs we have here. That is making me very reluctant to leave here. We get sick up there more times and can't get treated that may be the end of wanting to move. Our local hospital is adding specialties and its growing. It is affiliated with the bigger hospital system in the city and has been for some time. Our emergency room is now better and more efficient than the city ones from what I see. We even have a dialysis unit here now, which has to be great for so many elderly in the outlying areas. I am not impressed with our minor clinic here but perhaps they have changed doctors I will try it again the next time we need one. I made broccoli cheese soup for dinner tonight. I'm not sure about the cheese I used in it, maybe needed a different kind. But it was ok. I used half and half, 1 cup, decided more was overkill calorie wise so used a cup and a half of 2% milk with it. It was ok, but needed something. I had some garlic cheese croutons and that added flavor. I don't know if your doctors have already mentioned this, but Botox is also used for urinary incontinence like you and your daughter experience. Just like the Botox for migraines, it's for those people who haven't responded to other treatments, and it sounds like your oral incontinence meds haven't been effective. You might check in with your doctors and see if this could help either you or DD.

I thought you had done that mich but I didn't want to speak for you. The air quality is down to orange today. My throat is sore and my voice sounds awful. Of course it's a day I have 4 meetings scheduled. I'm chugging ice water but it's not helping. Drink tea with honey, if you can. Throat Coat tea is awesome. or drink something other than water.

My son really likes going in 2 days a week. He said it saves gas money and vehicle miles of course. He has a building he goes to in his yard. It has heat and cooling, his computers are all set up out there and that's where he goes when he works from home. No interruptions or anybody messing with his documents. He can keep everything confidential that way. He had a really nice office in NY in his basement, but he is happy with what he has up there. It's finished inside.
Back when I worked I could have done 80% of mine from home. They wouldn't even let me work 4 10's which I did anyway. What a deal that would have been. I could have taken care of DD's needs with that one day a week instead of taking off work.
DIL said if I wanted a job so many people from there work at home I could easily get one. Probably could but I don't really want to work again, I can't keep up now and do things I want to do.
We need to make a run to the city today, have a few things to do.
All DD's blood work came back everything is good. They seem to have us both stabilized, we are actually doing good. I started us on a Centrum daily which sure won't hurt us. I know she does not get a balanced diet. I do the vitamins for awhile and drop them, why I don't know. Need to keep it up this time, I'm sure it will help her skin condition, maybe mine too.
Hubs phone is not working again or he has it off and doesn't realize it. I sent him a text but he must not be checking those. I am tracking him by where he is charging fuel. I know he was in Wyoming but the last 2 stops I cannot find by the numbers. And I don't understand him stopping for $41 and now $21. His fill before that was $108, so not sure what he is doing. I'm guessing he is past Wyoming now. I don't know why he has so many phone issues. I don't know if its him or his phone. At least I know he is still moving and not in a wreck or something. I worry about him driving like that and falling asleep. That's why we don't go with him, he absolutely exhausts DD and I.
It will be good to have him home.

I never thought about air quality. All of Indiana is under an air quality alert. I had on a respirator for dust yesterday. I was coughing last night and a raspy throat today, so likely a combination of both aggravating it. I read some winds and hopefully rain Sunday may clear the air down here for us.

I went to the grocery store last night and realized it was the first time I had left the house since Saturday.
Going to Baltimore for the O's game tomorrow, so that will be a nice outing.

Home from vacation. Went to the sand dunes with my folks and then stopped to see dh's family who are visiting on the way home. It was a really good trip.
DC just got up and I heard dh start to stir. We're still getting monsoons and couldn't unload the car topper in the downpour last night but we left the house in order and I'm through the laundry that was waiting for me.

I don't have a Costco membership, but Sam's only allows 2 cards per membership. I haven't brought an actual card to Sam's Club for years. Ever since they went to Scan and Go all I bring is my phone. Which might be another option for anciana. Does Costco have an app that displays the membership? Easy to share an app login. Membership is nontransferable.

DH wanted to go to Whataburger for a taquito and I agreed. I've cleaned the toilets, mopped the floors, and have a second load in the washer. He's packing now and I'll pack later. I got a text from the tour guide on exactly where to meet tomorrow - this lady is so on top of the travel game it's amazing. I'm going to make sure to sign her praises to the right person when we get back. In a few minutes DH and I will sit down and organize our luggage tags, wrist bands and lanyards I always feel like a kindergarten kid when I'm wearing all that stuff but leading a group tour is like herding cats so I'm happy to be a clearly identified cat. On our last European trip, the guides made us carry little colored flags; that way they could see if they had all of their group and no strays from another guide. Our flags also matched the color banner on our tour bus but, of course, some folks still got on the wrong bus

I've had the men's semifinal (French Open) on for background noise this morning, and this match is absolutely NOT disappointing me. I'm actually annoyed with myself that I booked a nail appointment over lunch today, because I have to turn the match off while I go.

Been working on my journal it's really therapeutic. I just finished my maternal grandma getting that on paper really helped.
I an missing both my paternal great grandmother's. Ruby is my dad's and I can probably get a ton from him and his relatives in North Carolina.
I don't remember her. I have pictures at the zoo but she didn't come up often and died when I was in elementary school.
My mom's paternal great grandma is harder and may be impossible. After my grandfather died mom's family pretty much ex communicated her and left her to rot in a home.
They didn't even tell her grandpa died. She called my mother confused about where her son was.
My mom rightly never forgave them.
I'll ask one of my cousins I actually talk to if her husband can track down some information for me. She shouldn't have been erased like that.

Mister left work early today to meet his Dad and his brother at an appointment with Dad’s neurologist this afternoon. I asked Mister how it went when he got home and he said it was a waste of time. Dad was upset and crying, so the neurologist felt like it wasn’t a good time to do the tests to see how well he is or isn’t functioning. Great! NOT! Because now Dad knows that if he starts crying, they will leave him alone. And even though I do believe something is really going on with his brain, I also truly believe that he is very well aware of a lot of the stuff he does, and uses certain things to his advantage. I will not be surprised if from now on, every time he goes to a doctor, he will start crying. He’s done it before when Doctors get on him about his blood pressure and him not doing what he needs to do to take care of himself. He also does it with Mister, but it doesn’t work with Mister and pisses him off instead of making him back down. Mister doesn’t have much patience for whining and crying because you are dealing with consequences of your own actions, when you already knew you were doing something you shouldn’t. He didn’t have patience with his Aunt’s wailing and crying last week after he and Brother discovered her laying on the floor at her house, where she’d been for who knows how long, which is why he was fussing at her. Her friend had tried to get her to go to the hospital to see about her leg the day before, but she refused and insisted he just take her to McDonalds because her leg was so messed up she couldn’t drive herself anywhere. Then she tripped over something later that night because her house is such a mess and couldn’t get up and off the floor because of that same leg. And when Mister and his brother got in her house, her leg was so swollen and big, it looked like it might burst. So Mister’s issue was that if she’d gone to see about her leg the day before, like her friend tried to get her to do, she wouldn’t have ended up laying on the floor for hours until somebody called him to go check on her, and he wouldn’t have had to drive 40 minutes to her house and call his brother to bring the keys to her house after she started screaming and crying when she heard Mister at the door, and they wouldn’t have had to deal with calling an ambulance to get her to a hospital. And he got even more irritated with her because while they were waiting on the ambulance, when she finally stopped wailing, she was talking about what she wanted to cook and eat, and what nightgown she wanted to wear in the hospital, like it was all no big deal. Mister is 10 toes deep when something unexpected happens to his loved ones that’s out of their control. He’ll still come through even if it’s some bullshit that could’ve easily been avoided, but he’s going to make it clear that he’s irritated and tell you why. Even with me, so when I get myself in a bad situation unnecessarily I try to fix it myself instead of going to him with it. Because I can’t really blame him for expecting adults to not create unnecessary problems and then expect him to fix them. I hope something can be figured out for those two. They're driving poor Mister insane when all they have to do is listen to the people who have their best interests at heart.

Given the aunt has fallen twice and the condition of her leg they likely won't let her return home.
Mister and his brother need to refuse to let her be discharged into their care.
This will force the hospital to find her someplace to go.
Mister can force them to do paperwork for her too by standing his ground over being her nephew. It's not his problem he signed nothing accepting responsibility.
We did that with both GU and my grandma. There are still headaches but that was one problem solved.

Today I just smashed the avocado on the toast and topped with the fried egg, everything but the bagel seasoning, and harissa.

Dammit! They just shut down the laundry room too. Why do they think the virus is spread this way? I understand closing the spa and gym, but laundry? I’m out of cold weather bottoms.

I am sending out my jeans to get laundered. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.

It's not his problem he signed nothing accepting responsibility. We did that with both GU and my grandma. There are still headaches but that was one problem solved. Well, what I forgot to say was that one of her friends called Brother the next morning and said she’d taken Aunt home from the hospital. She left the hospital either later that night or the next morning, against medical advice. The friend really called Brother because she was upset that Aunt peed on herself in the friend’s car. I guess she wanted Brother or Mister to pay to have her car cleaned. Not happening. Then this morning the next door neighbor called Brother, saying she wasn’t answering the phone or door again and they’d called the fire department. Brother is on his way over there again, since Mister is at work. If she keeps leaving against medical advice, how can Mister and his brother force the hospital’s hand on this? If she’s fallen again, this will be the third time in less than a month. Mister is SO disgusted with both her and his Dad.

Pink Cashmere, can a family member contact the Social Worker at the hospital? My Mom was "forced" by that department (which actually was a good thing) to go to a rehabilitation center, where they determined it wasn't safe for her to live by herself, which resulted in her being moved directly to an assisted living facility. It worked great, because I could see it coming, but I wasn't the "bad guy" when Mom wasn't allowed to go back to her house.

Apparently Mister misunderstood the neighbor and they actually called the fired department last night. She was taken to a hospital last night. Brother is trying to find out which hospital she is in to go see about her. They still don’t know exactly what was wrong with her, if she’d fallen again or what. At least Brother is finally doing something to help, instead of leaving everything to Mister. He’s been looking after Dad at Dad’s house since he came back home, except for the weekend he was here, to give Brother a break. And fortunately, he went to see about Aunt today, since Mister is at work.

I think I got my house! I was the backup offer, and the original buyer confirmed that they would be closing even though her husband is having medical issues, their present home hasn't sold (no contingency for that), and it was all-cash so coming from savings. I was so disappointed, which I expressed here. The seller's realtor called me and said the buyer is not going to go through with it. So I'm up if I can get my ducks in a row. And to help me get them in a row, he (the realtor) is coming to the house on Sunday evening to help the neighbor and me with our contract . . . without charging us a penny. When I told my realtor, she said, "I would have done that!" Well, you knew I didn't have a clue what I am doing and you didn't offer . . . I don't have a contract, earnest money, proof of funds (another cash transaction as mine is), a real estate attorney, etc. But the neighbor seems to be going through with it and offered me a few days to move since we will do both closings on the same day. I so want this to happen! Don't laugh, but I have been driving through the community twice a day looking for signs that someone is fixing theirs up to sell. And I really liked this house. It isn't perfect, but that can be fun, too. Can you tell I am in Pollyanna mode? Lol. I am a doer, and I can't pack any more until after we meet on Sunday because I don't want the house in disarray when the neighbor comes back. But I did take another load to the thrift store today and scheduled the Salvation Army to get the rest of the furniture that I am not taking or selling. If the house falls through, I will just have to make do with some of the stuff that is still here, which is plenty!

She's not as overtly manipulative as Dad, but she's getting close I think. Her friend needs to quit answering those "pick me up and bring me home calls" and so does everyone else in the family.

How exciting! Keep us updated please, as you go through the process. I love it when good things happen for my friends.
