I am in the Mid-Atlantic - as of right now TWC has us getting 9-15 inches of snow Sunday. Hopefully that changes.

I am in the Mid-Atlantic - as of right now TWC has us getting 98-15 inches of snow Sunday. Hopefully that changes. Getting how many inches? If you live in this area, be safe and stay warm!

We're playing "wait & see" here. The amount of estimated snow can change a lot, and a bit of wind one direction or another can determine several inches difference in snowfall. We've got enough food in the freezer & pantry that even if we get a big snow, we'll be just fine.

Rain here Saturday and then a (hopefully only) dusting of snow Sunday.

Bring it on! It's January and we only have 2-3 inches on the ground, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

I am trying to decide if I'm traveling for my grandma's birthday. It looks like this one is coming up from the south and those are the ones that bury us. I'm done with winter.

Temps will crash here on Saturday, and they are predicting snow for Sunday night. I'll wait until tomorrow to plan, as forecasts are more solid three days out versus earlier. Last night, WC had 1 to 3 inches of snow for Sunday night and now it is suggesting 3 to 5. I prefer none, but if I have to pick, 1 to 3 sounds better.

If I had those choices in my area, I would choose the 3-5. 1-3 is enough to make a mess because the road crews will not do much of anything - then you get the drivers who think it is no big deal and end up hurting themselves and likely others. People would take the 3-5 more seriously. Also, I am glad that Monday is a holiday for us, so I will not have to worry about being out in whatever we end up getting.

You obviously do not live near here. Drivers won't take the larger amount any more serious than the smaller one. Last year when we got 18 inches or more, there were still stupid people. There were fewer though, because non-essential workplaces often shut down for a day or so. Less snow will also be easier on those leaving at 11PM or so from medical facilities and for those coming in for overnight shifts.

If the southern low travels north of us it it will probably be just cold rain. If it travels south of its it will be a snow event. No possible snow amount predictions yet.
