My wife's first question was, "what did she die of?"....at 99, does it really matter?
She was sure fun to watch over the years.

A for Rose, but one of so many memorable roles and moments. To a life well lived, with many laughs for all of us. A real grand dame, who never went out of style.

Bummer. Peace and blessings wherever your soul may be. She will be missed. I wonder what her last acting project was?

A film about Betty White was to play in theaters on January 17th. I wonder if they will move it to TV as a tribute to her.

Someone wrote this on Twitter:
"On one hand she was 99 years 348 days old when she died. On the other hand she lived through 24 leap years, i.e. 24 extra days.
All I'm saying is mathematically, it arguably checks out that she lived 100 years and 7 days."

She inspires me. Not because of being a celebrity, but her persistence and longevity and being so spry well into her 90's.

I checked out the cookbook at the library and I was so disappointed there was only two cheesecake recipes. Also disappointed there wasn't a recipe for Rose's treats. I forgot what she called them but tye gag was they smelled absolutely horrid so you had to hold your nose when eating them then they tasted divine.

Cookbook? I just use the instructions on the container the food comes in. Restaurants don’t give instructions with meals and they clean off table and do the dishes. I eat out a lot

I saw something on FB that said it says so much about her life and legacy that people think she died too young at 99yo. I agree. I mean, we all knew she wouldn’t live for forever, but still.

she seemed perfectly healthy a few weeks ago. walking upright, without a cane. She went to bed as she usually did but passed peacefully in her sleep overnight. It happens. Happened to a friend's mom like that too. No illness. Just slipped away during the night. Old age. I want to go like that too.

You’ll have it covered. Might not work if you want it to be last words you utter before checking out then again might be!

I was so sad to hear of her passing and that she was only a couple of weeks from her 100th.
RIP Betty You were a truly exceptional human being.
I saw a meme on FB that said in today's world full of Karens be a Betty White. Yes!

I'd think if I got to 99 with all my mental faculties I would have been saying thank you for a while. I get the impression she was that type of person.
