My apologies, but I don’t even know what you are talking about.
Maybe other posters don’t understand either since no one has replied, but I don’t know that for sure.
Also, I’m not sure what kind of post this is, because you made sure to add that you are an Admin in the OP.
Just color me confused about what posters are supposed to respond to and comment on. The fact that the OP felt it necessary to state they are an Admin……. and? What’s your point in throwing that out there?
I can’t make any sense out of the this.

I'm thinking she's referring to those threads that start anew January first of each year. Instead of 2021... they will start over as 2022...
There's the decluttering thread, the healthy lifestyles thread, and the women in red savers thread to name a few.
I could be wrong, though.

Yes, that was what I was talking about. It also could be possible that some may want their threads removed etc. It is entirely what any one would like. I was asked last year to not alter or remove some until Jan.1 or Jan 2.......
It's the choice of you ladies here......

Pink, do you sort by newest posts? this thread is in Women In Red, which has a bunch of threads that reset each year. you may not have realized where this one is. 🙂

I frequent WIR, and I was confused by the original post. It's why I didn't comment on it. The post is both vague and pompous.

Well, even last year I got my hand slapped so why should this year any difference?? All I've asked is that if you want threads moved or not, new threads are welcome....just simply I'm here to help all of you make it easy on everyone.

I was confused by the wording of the original post.
For the declutter thread I think we can do what we do every year and I’ll start the 2022 thread later this week and leave the 2021 thread open until Jan 1 or 2 and then lock it.

Blonde Granny, please keep the Women In Red Savers 2021 thread open until January 10. We need to get all the final updates posted for all who will posting them, and the members' year end figures are not always available and posted by December 31. After that, we do our smiley chart and shoutouts. It takes a bit of time to pull it together. I didn't mean to slap your hand last year, if you were thinking I was the one who had done that. I just needed you to reopen the thread so we could finish the final posts, and then have it closed again. We'd been used to contacting an admin when it was time to close the thread. We were not used to the efficiency of having someone do it so quickly! Thank you for your efficiency, and for asking.

Just throwing out a suggestion, but I think that locking the threads that early may prevent people from posting year-end, retrospective posts prior to going into 2022. i was thinking we used to get about 1-2 weeks?

It's the general tone of BG's posts--pompous. While I understand that this one on its own may not merit the term pompous, the culmination of these posts over the course of years of has me reading all of hers that way. I should not do that, nor, if I do assume that tone is intended, should I comment on it. That's been my practice regarding her threads for at least two years, and I should have stuck to it.

I am seriously working on having this kind of tact. I’m a born and bred Southerner, which means I should have really good manners lol, and I do in many ways. But when it comes to tact and being discreet when addressing certain things, since I tend to be blunt even when I think I’m treading softly, despite being a Southerner, I’m often more like a bull in a China shop.

That's because the friggin internet gave away the meaning of our favorite saying "Bless your heart"

You should be 100% fine then. Search for the Mythbusters episode on bulls in a China shop. Truly amazing - bulls do not deserve the bad rep they have

It didn’t sound pompous at all. It sounded like a simple question asking what posters wanted. Posters responded and it’s fine.
