By now, we all know that Omicron is much more infectious and much more prone to immune escape than previous variants. It's severity has been the missing piece of the puzzle.
This article from CIDRAP, is full of great links to some of the most recent preprints of studies conducted recently. It might be handy for those of you who have the technical knowledge and background knowledge to understand even some of what they report. Most of the other news sources that have been reporting on the same studies have not included links to preprints or even the most elementary details of what vaccines are being used in various countries. I'm deeply suspicious of such articles with happy headlines and vague content.
