Some of these are too much. 1."A man, who was probably in his 40s, told me that it was scientifically impossible for a woman with large breasts to have any real intelligence. He said that our brains received less blood and hormones because they stayed in our boobs." "All I could do was ask if he had large balls because he was a fucking idiot! Of course, he didn’t understand the joke." 13."A friend's boyfriend thought that it was biologically impossible for lesbians to get pregnant. Like, once they realize they're gay, their ovaries just shrivel up and quit, so they can never have kids." 19."I met a guy on Tinder that didn't think we could have sex because I was taller than him. Like he physically thought it wouldn't work/fit together or something." 42."I've heard multiple men make the argument that feminine hygiene products should be a luxury tax if we insist on being too lazy to go to the bathroom when we need to bleed." link

When a woman is legitimately raped, her body has a way shut down so she doesn’t get pregnant.

Ok, I’ll admit I am afraid to open the link. Stuff like this makes my head want to explode! It’s had a partial explosion already today so I will wait for healing to take place and open tomorrow. I’m a fasrpt healer.

6 weeks pregnant means the fertilization happened 6 weeks ago, not 6 weeks from your last period.

I allow for ignorance in anyone who is still a child i.e. the 17 year olds who just don't know; but, after that, nope. Especially if they're in intimate relations with a cis woman.

Yeah, it's not something that's taught in health class. I didn't know it until I was pregnant with my first either. I understand to a point why they do it (doctors don't have a crystal ball for actual date of conception and date of last period is easier to track) but I always wonder about people with non-standard length or very irregular periods - do they get to be twelve or however many months pregnant? I also didn't know how common miscarriages were until I had one myself. It's like a secret club that has millions (billions?) of members but no one talks about.

I've had to deal with stupid doctors (you are NOT included in this club, pulmonarymd ). When you get your period has NOTHING to do with when you ovulate. I went in for a pregnancy test when I got pregnant with one of my kids, and because DH had a crazy work schedule at the time, I knew which two, and only which two nights, we'd had sex. The doctor proceeds to tell me that based on the date of my last period, it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to be pregnant. I was pregnant. Me - 1, doctor - 0.

That physician forget one of the 10 commandments of Emergency Medicine. Any female between the ages of 10 and 60 is pregnant unless they lack a uterus . It is a good rule of thumb to assume anyone can be pregnant. A period may not really be a period, people do not tell the truth, 50% of pregnancies in the US are unplanned, etc. As to the other points in this thread; I am not touching any of them with a 10 foot pole.

#2 tell me you have never pleasured a woman without telling me you've never pleasured a woman Sadly I know A LOT of women that believe #16 too. Like they won't let their daughters use tampons or a diva cup because of this. I found out DH thought #16. I pointed out how on earth do you think a period works if there is some physical barrier between entry/exit into a vagina? NOBODY, at least according to him, had ever pointed that out and he never thought to ask. His mom sure as hell wasn't going to take on sharing that with her sons. He said girl parts were something you didn't talk about it wasn't your business. He lived life just fine not knowing anything about female anatomy until I whacked him upside the head so hard in the middle of Walgreens people turned to stare.
I suppose at least now I have him asking the right questions considering he has 2 girls so him being informed is critical.

The pregnancy one isn't common knowledge. I went to the emergency room for excess bleeding and really long period. They did a pregnancy test and said I was a month pregnant. I lived decades thinking they were wrong I could only have been two weeks pregnant. They did transfusions and a D&C so I don't know when a baby would have been born. It was probably 40 more years before I heard they count from your period.

I haven't read the list yet, but don't let anyone tell you that you can NOT get pregnant during your period....I have a son to prove you can & I told the Dr. the exact night I got pregnant. He didn't believe me until after 6 wks showed I was...I'd gone in when I missed my first period & I was about 3 wks. pregnant at that time. AND I worked with a gal who had periods up thru her 5th month of pregnancy! That can happen too. Her Dr. finally told her there were no birth control pills strong enough to work on her then...this was in 1967! The pills hadn't been out too long at that time.

Ugh this gives me flashbacks. I have to have endoscopy every few years. I was told no drinks past midnight but no one mentioned pregnancy tests so I went to the bathroom when I woke up. And I'm someone who you practically can't find a vein if I'm no liquids I just dehydrate. I'm on my third saline bag and I STILL can't pee (yay large bladder plus shy bladder) and I'm begging to just let them let me sign something saying I'm on birth control and haven't had sex so there's no way I'm knocked up just take me back. I was like half way into my third bag when the nurses started breaking out the catheter stuff that I was scared enough to pee. 🤣 Found out my poor mom was in the waiting room losing her mind cuz I should have been done a while ago. I now ask every time if they're going to make me pee in a cup.

Sadly, none of these surprise me. I have even heard a few of them myself.

Not to defend any of the idiocy from the article, but the misconceptions about medical issues is horrible in general, from both sexes. Same as you would say when it comes to finances. People be stupid

After covid deaths, uncovering the sheer ignorance and stupidity of many people is the saddest and scariest part of the pandemic.
