.... Does anyone think the teleprompt fiasco is not a concern ? Biden has had a stutter since he was a kid. There are tricks to helping someone who struggles with this avoid stuttering. I'm guessing there were notes within the speech to help him keep his speech in tempo, to help him avoid stuttering, and someone inadvertently put those prompts into the speech. Not a big deal. I was MUCH more concerned when Trump went off script, than this.

I don't see how anyone gets all bent over someone using a teleprompter. Speaking off the cuff is hard, and it's not a skill that Biden has. I'm OK with it. Trump was actually fairly coherent when he used a teleprompter. I’m thinking of his state of the union speeches - I disagreed with him, and thought he was a pompous self aggrandizing windbag, but I understood what he was saying. His speech writers wrote good speeches for him. Which is what speech writers have always done, back when it was quills and ink not teleprompters. Neither Trump or Biden are great talking extemporaneously, but few people are.

Biden rarely sounds like "head full of acid". but he occasionally sounds like "stroke victim".

I am far more concerned by the ridiculous things that come out of Trump's mouth EVERY DAY and the fact that he requires two hands to take a sip of water. Not to mention needing a golf cart while everybody else is able to walk. Not even half a mile. Hell, Merkel even walked it in heels while Trump's fat a** couldn't do it at all! Who is really the weak one?

If anyone claims to have concerns about or issues with Biden, and does NOT have much greater concerns about or issues with Trump, they have some serious issues with reality. Donald Trump is not only the worst president in history, he may be the worst person elected to any national office in history.

But I was talking about Biden. right. and we answered you. or, should i say, bills did, yesterday morning. and four of us agreed with him: the answer is "no, we don't care about any teleprompter fiascoes". we care about armed insurrections, and the continued coup attempt. we care about the person who engendered it continuing to insist he is president. and, to a lesser degree, we care about many other things, maybe thousands of them, before we even consider caring about "teleprompter fiascoes".

i just listened to this "gaffe". other than leaving out the line "let me", it sounded fine to me.
listen, i just suffered through 4 years of continuous speech mangling from a guy who talks like a 5th grader, including THIS wonder of wonders:
so, in the words of the former administration: there is nothing to it.
are we good?

Biden does not have a plan to stop Putin, who, it now looks like Biden had more of a relationship with him trough his son Hunter than Trump who never had a relationship with him. I stated this thread in fall of 2021, and no one has had a legitimate argument to prove me wrong yet. Now add the 9.1% inflailton for June to top it off. Yes, some commodities are coming down. Will food follow this year? No Will mortgage costs thru higher rates not cost consumers more? Rent is up over 5% nationally Electricity rates up 13% natiionally in a year. will those rates drop? Natural gas rates have almost doubled. Will they cut in half in another year? House insurance continues to climb. Property taxes despite higher appraised values every year continusr to climb. Average income up 5% if you might be working. Inflation 9%. Even everyone here can do the math. Joe Biden, the king of Executive orders is the Emporer who does not have clothes on because he never realized he was not dressed before leaving the House. ... I stated this thread in fall of 2021, and no one has had a legitimate argument to prove me wrong yet. ... Hmmmm. I thought the early on conversation did a very good job of proving you wrong about there ever being a cult of Biden. Trump needed to be defeated in 2020. It was perceived that Biden was the best option for meeting that goal and was therefore nominated.

Stick a fork in him, he is done.Remember I was the one that brought this to your attention in fall of 2021. Joe Biden is 16th in Executive orders per year: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_federal_executive_ordersDonald Trump was 15th. neither of them hold a candle to FDR, Hoover, Coolidge, Harding, and Wilson, all of whom had more EO's PER YEAR than either of these men had (or in Biden's case, WILL have) in their time in office. again, Biden has done his job. he kept Trump out of the WH for (4) years. he gave us a chance to shore up our institutions against assault. if we fail to take advantage of that, then God help us with the next neo-fascist that comes along.

note to the board: the reason inflation is bad is not because of supply. supply has never been higher than it is this year (in terms of oil). it is because of DEMAND. and what this means is that the economy is a raging inferno. which everyone with any sense knows.
unfortunately, the GOP doesn't have any sense. if they did, they would fight this a different way than they are. there IS a sensible attack of Biden, but "inflation" is the symptom, not the cause.

Gas prices down 37 cents per gallon this month. Around here they’re at 4 bucks. Bad news for VB

Biden has such a cozy relationship with the Saudis his son Hunter was able to get a fabulous 2 billion dollar investment loan so he could start his own private equity firm.
Oh wait, that wasn’t Hunter, that was Kushner, two months after Big Daddy was forced out of the WH - and now that’s under investigation by the House over sight committee.
Strange, I thought Hunter was the corrupt kid of a powerful politician. Go figure.

Also, Biden may be polling lower with young adults, but guess which party has a sudden influx of educated women voters?
What could possibly be making suburban moms flee the GOP? It hardly makes any sense, does it? 🙄

I don't think he ever had the youth vote. At least for the youngins I know, he was their last choice on the list of contenders. Pete Buttigieg was popular. Yang was pretty good. Bernie was radical, and exciting. Joe was old and creepy - but better than Trump. Even weird Warren and boring Klobuchar were preferable to another old white guy.
