me neither. there is no part of the Constitution that is friendly to what happened in the last 2.5 months of the Trump administration.

Biden continues down the "Carter Curve" (best ever recorded):

Fox News has quoted the pool that says 80-something percent of people think the country is headed in the wrong direction - and clearly that is all Biden's fault. Because no person in the USA would think the country is headed in the wrong direction be ause Roe was overturned, gun control measures are being shot down by courts, environmental policies are being eliminated and SCOTUS has LGBTQ rights in their crosshairs. Citizens United is safe for several decades, voting rights are getting stripped back and no one is doing anything to align wages and housing prices.
Biden sucks - but he isn't the reason the country is going in the wrong direction. Maybe he could slow down some of it if he had any leadership or strategy- but he did not cause any of that shit.

Fox News has quoted the pool that says 80-something percent of people think the country is headed in the wrong direction - and clearly that is all Biden's fault. well, THEY say that. and that is the one great thing about being here, is that you can say whatever you like, no matter how self serving or wrong it is. our greatest weakness is that we put people up there who know NOTHING and give them a megaphone. the Wrong Direction survey was at 49.2% in June of last year. that was it's lowest level in a decade. since that time, three things have happened: invasion of Ukraine, inflation, and the J6 commission. all three of these undermine our importance in the world, and make people feel impotent, and Americans hate that. so, yeah. wrong direction. i think the biggest problem with this survey is that nobody knows what it MEANS. it is just how people are feeling. but who do they blame it on? i dunno. really, i don't. it is probably not good for Biden if these numbers persist for another 2 years, but i can't really say WHAT people are MOST unhappy about right now, and who they think can fix it.

The "wrong direction" question is by far the most ridiculously worthless and stupid poll question that can be asked. Anyone using it immediately brands themselves as equally worthless and stupid. Simplistic answers for simpletons.... Right-wing "analysis" at its best.

Headed in the wrong direction is too subjective.
There are people out there who thought Elvis and the Beatles would bring the fall of humanity.
The governor of Nebraska thinks legalizing pot will lead to moral decay.
There are plenty of people who think LBGTQ+ need to go backin the closet, women back in the kitchen, Latinos back over the boarder and African Americans to the back of the bus.
We're too"woke" as I hear it said.
Then there are people like me who see voting rights stripped away, gay marriage at risk and a bunch of old white dudes are up in my uterus.
All while about 200 years worth of history are crammed into two.
So yeah I think the world is headed in.the wrong direction but not because I agree with conservatives views on the matter. Quite the opposite.
I.am not a huge fan of Biden because he won't nut up. I get he ran on being a moderate but that means nothing when the other party is becoming increasingly radical and hell bent on making us a Christian state.
But he's still better than Trump and his election was a sign we are not totally lost.
But we're getting there. Disliking Biden does not equate to Trump was better.

i agree that it is so subjective that it is meaningless. but i will also say this, that when the number is HIGH, people tend to vote for the opposite party. so, politically, it probably SHOULD be meaningless, but it is not, entirely.
that having been said, the magnitude of the number is pretty meaningless. as i already noted, a year ago, when the coronavirus was largely contained, the right direction number was at a 10 year high. oh yeah, that is another thing- our reduced restrictions on coronavirus have led to a rise in cases, which is also impacting this number. and yeah, Biden could have done better there- but so could the dozens of Red States that hollered like insolent kids until they got their way.

I suspect my MIL and I both feel the country is going in the wrong direction - but for polar opposite reasons.
For example - she thinks gay people being out and about is bad. I think that gay people don't have enough safety and acceptance. Which one of us is right? Well, me obviously, but you can see how meaningless the statement is.

This also describes Kyrsten Synema. Conservatives hate her because she is a looney left wing communist. Progressives hate her because she is actively blocking anything the Dems want to do. Prediction - she will switch parties within 10 years.

I am far more concerned by the ridiculous things that come out of Trump's mouth EVERY DAY and the fact that he requires two hands to take a sip of water. Not to mention needing a golf cart while everybody else is able to walk. Not even half a mile. Hell, Merkel even walked it in heels while Trump's fat a** couldn't do it at all! Who is really the weak one?

.... Does anyone think the teleprompt fiasco is not a concern ? I don't. Biden has a stutter, it can take tremendous concentration sometimes to overcome those things. I have ADD and the more stressed I get the harder it becomes for me to be practically perfect in every way. It becomes obvious that I have issues. Being president while the world is on fire is 20x more stress than I have. So I have this weird thing called compassion and understanding. Unlike Trump who proudly and openly mocked a disabled reporter.

I don't see how anyone gets all bent over someone using a teleprompter. Speaking off the cuff is hard, and it's not a skill that Biden has. I'm OK with it.

Well when you admire a person who cannot put two words together in a coherent fashion because he "speaks off the cuff" and "tells it like it is". Using any tools that were created with the purpose of helping with public is obviously a sign of weakness.

I've seen a pile of complaints about aging rock starts using teleprompters during concerts. They have a catalogue of 100's of songs, I don't expect them to remember every single song. Technology is great, let's use it.

Of all the qualities the POTUS should have - reading the teleprompter seems minor.
Although, I will say in the past the better speakers are able to rally the country and rally congress. Joe isn't doing either of those. I guess you could say that Trump rallied his party - but most of his gains were due to threats and a history of vindictiveness.

I wonder what the teleprompter actually said.
