Hi all, I mostly post on Politics and Current Events, but I linger here and there in other places. I am finding myself pretty comfortable financially these days. Almost 6 figure income, very low mortgage, 6+ months of expenses in savings, 401k, Roth IRA, etc.
I am saving over half of my monthly income in my savings account every month, and I feel like that money is just going to keep sitting there, and not really being put to good use. I would like to invest in some stocks for the first time (not just mutual funds like my IRA), and I am leaning towards clean energy companies.
I know there are a lot of smart investors on these threads, and I was wondering if any of you have any companies that I could look into, or any advice? I'm willing to answer any questions ya'll have about me. Just looking for some advice on how to start investing outside of my traditional retirement accounts.
TYIA Cheers!

Hurley....check out BLNK, it's a charging station company for charging vehicles. Right now it's pretty low, but that could change at any time. Do your own research before you buy anything anyone including me suggests. Other than that...just google solar or wind or any other group you might be interested in & then research them. Or, choose something you are familiar with like a Walmart stock or a grocery store stock or anything else you might know something about that industry.
ETA...Something else you might want to look at...companies that pay good dividends. Those you buy & keep and let your dividends keep buying stocks until you retire...then you collect your dividends as income to help pay the bills.

I have quite a bit of TAN. it is a solar ETF. long term holding.
I bought this in 2014 and it sat in a coma for 5 years, but has been going nuts since then.
