Should we really be surprised? After all, trump in his debate with other Republicans including Carly Fiorina said this about her: "Look at that face!" Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!"

that's the thing, right?
there are only TWO classes of people that want to hang around with or befriend Trump. the first is grifters. the second is sycophants- people who just love to suck up to power for no other reason than to feel the heat of it.

i saw Ruth Ben-Ghiat interviewed tonight. this is a recent quote from her: They’re personality cults, even if they rule in a democracy like [Italy’s former prime minister Silvio] Berlusconi did. Berlusconi’s personality cult did not deflate until he was convicted, which he eventually was. That’s what it takes. It takes prosecution and conviction to deflate their personality cults. i think this is a very hopeful message, because i think he is going to get convicted. if you have time, read this interview in Politico. it is not what i would describe as hopeful on the whole. she says, for example, many states in the US are already no longer functioning democracies. but at the same time, many other states are functioning better than ever in that respect. so, it is truly a mixed bag: www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/04/16/history-shows-trump-personality-cult-end-00024941

I have been bombarded by the cultists at another board so have taken a hiatus. But back now thanks to tallguy!
These people are like talking to a brick. Trump is innocent of everything and Jan.6th was either a picnic by concerned citizens or was an FBI/Antifa false flag operation. And they have it so bad that if Trump came out and said he knows he legitimately lost in 2020, they wouldn’t believe him.

i think it is really important to remember that this is a Cult. it is really important because CNN can't do what they just did with Trump.
they can't allow these BS ideas to go unchallenged. in fact, they can't even give him softball questions as if he were a conventional candidate. asking him why he feels that the US public should vote for him, for example, is the wrong question. the RIGHT question is why, given his propensity to challenge democracy and the rule of law, should he even be CONSIDERED for the job of president. he should NEVER be let off the hook for saying he won. he should not be allowed to move on to a second question. if he wants to spend an hour that way, FINE. let him. but having him explore a wide range of answers to an adoring crowd is just wrong. it is wrong for democracy. it is wrong for America.

just consider what would have happened if CNN had just sat on that question. the hour would have run out, and that would be it. like Good Will Hunting in Robin Williams' office.
i think that would have been great. the shrink always wins.

I will hope he's not sleeping and will come to his senses; however my guess is he's been pro-violence in his own life. The Bible is pretty clear on turning the other cheek and being meek unless God sanctions violence against a ruler. Not a biblical scholar this one, but neither is Trump.

yeah, these interviewers need to recognize they are not dealing with Jimmy Carter, they are dealing with Jimmy Jones.

Trump slipped up and referred to himself as King in one of his recent rants.
If he gets elected again, wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to make that happen.
Another good reason to not re-elect him.

Trump would never commit suicide. He thinks he is always right and will always win. He would never encourage his followers to commit suicide. He needs their praise and their money.

He encourages them to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. While I don't know of anytime he has asked anyone to commit suicide, I would not be surprised, especially if it was an opponent. He has many people commit career suicide and a few that died simply because they attended his rallies. Guiliani did it as a favor and hoped for glory. Michael Cohen ... admits he is weak in the face of people like Trump Herman Cain, dead of Covid www.latimes.com/science/story/2020-10-31/super-spreading-trump-rallies-led-to-more-than-700-covid-19-deaths-studyHow many people did he fire?

Trump would never commit suicide. He thinks he is always right and will always win. He would never encourage his followers to commit suicide. He needs their praise and their money. I'm quoting this again as while maybe he wouldn't directly advocate for them to commit suicide, he is pretty comfortable in some of them dying in pursuit of his goals and storyline. He riled them up on Jan 6 knowing some could be shot and possibly killed. I am certain he is almost gleeful that one woman was killed so he can use her as a talking point. He advocated not being afraid of Covid even after being hospitalized for it, as his economic plans aka hope for re-election counted on people being out and about spending money and working. I forget where the Covid thread is but there were countless stories of Trump supporters and those who feared the vaccine dying of Covid. Sometimes entire families. So suicide, perhaps not directly, but he is very OK with deaths on behalf because they aren't his and he feels they help him in his world. So he is OK killing his supporters, after all they are replacable with future sheeple, and he just sets higher grift amounts if the number of sheeple giving drops for any reason. He has an entire globe of idiots/worshippers to exploit. His reach and destruction is larger than Jim Jones. How many coal miners and others took a while to figure out Trump wasn't going to save their jobs and they were SOL. How many suicided over economic squeezes meant to save his rich buddies at the expense of the poor even if they were pro Trump.

Speaking of Lindell, he’s having a fire sale of 800 pieces of surplus industrial equipment because his business lost 100 million because big box stores dropped his products. www.newsweek.com/mike-lindells-auction-mypillow-equipment-not-going-plan-1812715He’s blaming the big box stores for not carrying his products anymore, but that’s just Business 101 - something Lindell should have anticipated when he became a Trump monkey.

Rudy Giuliani will forever be the object lesson in how to completely trash one's reputation and squander massive amounts of public goodwill. I'm not sure that anyone anywhere even comes close.

His is an interesting story. I am reminded of what was happening in the spring of 2001: It's been quite a month for New York City's mayor. In early May, Donna Hanover (the estranged wife) sought to bar Judi Nathan (the loyal girlfriend) from Gracie Mansion (the official residence). link He had his moment in the sun but has simply returned to character over time. Guliani descended into being pure attention whore, willing to pander to Trump in order to be in the national spotlight.
A serial killer got arrested last week near New York and the media is camped out in front of his house while the cops search it. Who shows up - Guliani, grinning at the cameras, waving to the people.
Sad.
