Trump must love the Russian incursion into Ukraine. It takes the civil and criminal news focus off of him.

GOP leaders condemn colleagues for attending white nationalist event
Days after GOP Reps. Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared at an event organized by a white nationalist, Republican party leaders are condemning them for attending. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell released a statement Monday criticizing white supremacist hate. "There's no place in the Republican Party for white supremacists or anti-Semitism," McConnell said in a statement first reported by Politico.Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy told reporters Monday afternoon that he found Greene and Gosar's attendance "unacceptable." McCarthy suggested to reporters that he plans to speak with both Gosar and Greene later this week. "To me, it was appalling and wrong," McCarthy told reporters. "There's no place in our party for any of this." "The party should not be associated any time any place with somebody who is anti-Semitic...This is unacceptable," he added. McCarthy was in Israel last week with a congressional delegation. He told Punchbowl News that the news of Greene and Gosar's attendance was particularly upsetting because of his recent visit. Greene and Gosar have both previously been stripped of their committee assignments for their egregious behavior. Oh come on Mitch there is plenty of room!
You're just pissed Gosar and Greene openly advertise the fact your party is the party of every -ism in existence.
If they behaved themselves and only spoke in passive aggressive microaggressions like good little Republicans you wouldn't say a damn thing.

Trump’s effort to rewrite history on his support of NATO and Ukraine“I hope everyone is able to remember that it was me, as President of the United States, that got delinquent NATO members to start paying their dues, which amounted to hundreds of billions of dollars. There would be no NATO if I didn’t act strongly and swiftly. Also, it was me that got Ukraine the very effective antitank busters (Javelins) when the previous Administration was sending blankets. Let History so note!”— Former president Donald Trump, in a statement, Feb. 28 Only days ago, Trump lauded Russian President Vladimir Putin as “very savvy” for making a “genius” move by declaring two regions of eastern Ukraine as independent states and dispatching Russian armed forces to seize them. “Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,” Trump said Feb. 22 on the “Clay Travis and Buck Sexton” show, referring to the troops as “the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen.” Of course, it turns out that Putin launched an invasion of all of Ukraine. With Ukraine putting up a gallant fight and the United States and its allies imposing harsh sanctions on Russia, Trump on Monday issued a defensive statement repeating falsehoods he regularly made during his presidency. With Trump, it’s hard to know if he’s willfully ignorant or if he has simply swallowed his own spin. Far from being a savior of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, he frequently sought to undermine it. Here’s a quick guide to what’s wrong or misleading in his statement. “It was me, as President of the United States, that got delinquent NATO members to start paying their dues, which amounted to hundreds of billions of dollars.” During the 2016 presidential election, Trump consistently inflated the U.S. contribution to NATO. Once he became president, his inaccuracy persisted, but with a twist. Nearly 150 times during his presidency, he claimed that “hundreds of billions” of dollars had come into NATO because of his complaints. Sometimes, as president, he even suggested this money might be coming directly to the United States. This is all poppycock. There are two types of funding for NATO: direct funding and indirect funding. The amount of direct funding provided by each NATO member, for military-related operations, maintenance and headquarters activity, generally is based on gross national income — the total domestic and foreign output claimed by residents of a country — and adjusted regularly. The United States and Germany each underwrite 16.34 percent of direct spending; the U.S. share had previously been slightly higher, as it had the biggest economy, but its share was reduced under Trump, at his insistence. A significant portion of the U.S. share goes to operating the Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AWACS) fleet operations, according to the Congressional Research Service. The United States contributed about $406 million in Trump’s last year in office, though President Biden sought to boost that to $482 million in fiscal year 2022. Talk about a logic fail. Did they ask if they would prefer trump? It is possible to dislike the job Biden is doing, while at the same time be happy trump is not the president. But holding 2 thoughts in your mind appears to be too difficult

Wouldn’t that pump his numbers?

Things must suck pretty bad when I think McConnell is saying the right things.
If he believes them or will do anything to stabilize the party is a different question.

Bolton, in rejecting Newsmax host’s assertion, says Trump ‘barely knew where Ukraine was’Former national security adviser John Bolton rejected a claim from a Newsmax host who asserted that the behavior of President Donald Trump deterred the Russians from invading Ukraine. Bolton emphasized that Trump “barely knew where Ukraine was.” During the interview, Bolton claimed that Trump once asked then-White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly whether Finland was part of Russia. The former national security adviser emphasized that the narrative on Newsmax regarding the Ukraine invasion was a departure from reality. So, why would he know or care where any countries overseas are located? I've got the song "Beauty School Dropout" running through my head right now. If it weren't for the family fortune, I doubt he would have even graduated high school.

No, I doubt any, but the true believers want him back. What I do believe, is some are impatient with our progress with Covid and life returning to what it was pre-Covid.

BOOM! Your god's turn in front of the courts is coming up. Oath Keeper pleads guilty to seditious conspiracy for Jan. 6 attackJoshua James, 34, of Arab, Alabama, pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy charges on Wednesday as part of deal with prosecutors contingent on his cooperation with the U.S. government in their ongoing prosecution of defendants who were involved in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The plea deal is the first of its kind for a Jan. 6 defendant and comes nearly a year after James was charged with impeding and obstructing Congress’ affirmation of the Electoral College vote in the 2020 presidential election. The seditious conspiracy charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and was the most serious to date brought by federal prosecutors in the nearly 14 months since the riot at the Capitol. The 10 other alleged Oath Keepers' members charged in the seditious conspiracy plot, including the group's founder Stewart Rhodes, have pleaded not guilty to all charges against them. Lawyers for James did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment. According to the indictment, James was a leader of a second 'stack' of Oath Keepers who breached the building through the east side. He is accused of forcing his way past law enforcement who were trying to guard the Capitol Rotunda and shouting at them to "get out" of "my Capitol." He later "violently" pulled and pushed his way past officers who were forced to deploy chemical spray at him and Minuta. Oath Keeper pleads guilty to seditious conspiracy for Jan. 6 attack

Not in Wisconson. And it's a swing state. Donald Trump isn't getting any more popularUsually when presidents leave office, they almost immediately get more popular. The longer they are out of office, the more kindly the public tends to think of them. Donald Trump is breaking that mold, at least according to a new Marquette Law School poll of Wisconsin voters. In that survey, just 36% of the state's voters have favorable opinions of Trump, while 57% percent have unfavorable ones. What's remarkable is that those numbers are virtually unchanged from how Wisconsin voters viewed Trump in August 2021 (38% favorable/55% unfavorable) and October 2021 (38%/57%). There's been no softening in the public's attitude toward Trump -- even in a swing state like Wisconsin, which he won in 2016 and lost in 2020. Why is that? Here are two theories (which are not mutually exclusive of the other): Rest of article here: Donald Trump isn't getting any more popular

yeah, Biden is ALMOST as unpopular as Reagan was at the end of his second year. well, not really almost. he is actually 4% more popular. imo, Biden will not get down that far.

In a rematch between Biden and trump, trump would obviously lose the Democrstic party members' vote along with most of the independent voters. Trump would lose the vast majority if independent voters mainly due to his abysmal conduct leading up to, during and after the 2020 presidential election. trump's abysmal conduct is still obvious today.

Not going to read. You don’t need to. Just remember that scene in the wizard of oz where Toto pulled the curtain back from the wizard and he kept saying’ignore that man behind the curtain.’ It’s like that. Only unlike the wizard, Trump never stops trying to bullshit everyone.

Heck, I don't think you realize how toxic Trump is for the US and our standing internationally. I wish certain people would take their BS behind the curtain. The toddler two, Boebert and MGT were throwing tantrums during the entire SOTU. Thankfully the major station I watched the speech on only showed them once. On Seth Meyer, I saw more of their silliness, and I don't think they will realize how stupid and out of place they looked. I wouldn't be surprised if a certain ex-President endorsed their plan if they reached out to him. <- x large number What should they be called? The RW terrible twos?
