Maybe the media isn't as biased as some believe it is.

Biden’s popularity has certainly taken a big hit. However, the bills he’s attempting to get passed are still popular with the majority of the voters.
If the bills get passed, if Covid finally subsides, I think Biden will recover. Politics is always a crap shoot.

I understand most democrats are for it, but I do know a few that are saying, "are you kidding me?" And there are polls out there showing a growing number of citizens are concerned with his competance level.

I think he is indistinguishable in that respect from every other president in my adult life, with two exceptions. the Republican presidents of this millennia. those two were varying degrees of incompetent.

I was looking at one poll that asked multiple questions- around 40 percent approved of the job he was doing, but approval for the infrastructure bill, etc was higher- 50 to 60 percent approved. I don’t recall there being a question specifically about his competence, but I know a majority didn’t like his handling of the Afghanistan exit, which they might link to his competence. It’s funny, though - they don’t like the exit much, but liked the fact that we’re out.

Which is fine with me after the train wreck liar, twice impeached, publicity whore, morally bankrupt, unethical, seditious 'president' named donald trump.

Kennedy's Bay Of Pigs, according to your logic, would have made him one of the worst presidents ever. but he is not ranked that way.

What other president ever called his press secretary to tell her Stormy Daniels lied and his penis was not small nor shaped like a toadstool.
No one but trump.

I am merely mentioning the failed military exercise.

PS- I think it is hilarious to see people making predictions in the first year of office. I think it is a really bad practice. I didn't do it with Trump. the Biden haters shouldn't do it with Biden.
in fact, the Trump supporters were arguing that we couldn't judge his legacy before he left office. that is rubbish. you can judge it much earlier than that. right around the middle of the first term you are going to have a pretty good idea of how things are going to go for a president.

Kind of like how Ford, by being perfectly bland and polite, helped us recover from the Nixon shit storm. Nice to have a president who we know won’t be tweeting fire balls at anyone.

The longer Kennedy is dead the greater he becomes. Not by the current membership of the Democratic party. They think he was a Republican. How about Obama? it looks like he could get excommunicated due to his middle of the road leadership only12 years ago

How about Obama? it looks like he could get excommunicated due to his middle of the road leadership only12 years ago first of all, I have never cared much about what leadership of any party thinks, let alone Democrats. secondly, he was fairly conservative by today's standards of liberalism, including starting the tax cutting madness.
I was never a fan of Kennedy. I think the "ask what you can do for your country" thing is pure statist dreck. my government serves me, not the other way around. period.
finally, there has not really been a liberal Democrat in office in my lifetime. Clinton was from Arkansas. you don't win governerships in Arkansas by being a liberal. the last liberal to make it past the primary was Mondale. Obama was a centrist Democrat running at a time when the country was still in the throes of 911 in many ways- fairly conservative. he was also a war horse, not a peacenik. it is why I could not stomach voting for him, and his stupid SURGE, which cost 500 lives in one of it's first years of implementation. terrible idea. very Republican, really. he also was a mouthpiece for Lafferism when he failed to end the payroll tax cuts despite the fact that they were generating no jobs and huge deficits.
haven't heard much, if any of that nonsense from Biden, which is quite welcome.

I don't consider "my country" and "my government" to be synonymous. I think it is quite possible to "do for my country" by protesting against governmental actions.

A lesson some of us learned in 1968 and beyond. Our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence IS “our country”. Our government has most often been something else entirely. Don’t get me started.👹
