Why are all these people surprised that they have to wear a mask?? And that they are being detained, or arrested for their unacceptable behavior?

And the mask wearing is mandated by TSA not the Airline itself.
It is not a policy the airline can waive.

I know they are blaming it on being drunk- but that wasn't the standard mask freak out. He really looked like he was breaking.
Maybe I just don't remember what insanely drunk really acts like.

I know they are blaming it on being drunk- but that wasn't the standard mask freak out. He really looked like he was breaking. Maybe I just don't remember what insanely drunk really acts like. My Dad was Bipolar. Unmediated Bipolar People often have alcohol addictions. The Alcohol is a natural depressant and counters the High Part of the Bipolar disease. Unfortunately when the person is in a Bipolar low, the Alcohol will pull them even lower. Fortunately, my Dad never had addiction issues. It was hard enough just to deal with the normal issues a Bipolar Person has. I couldn't figure out if he was passed out, or just withdrawn when the Police walked up to him. Passengers are very strange lately. DD helped out at MKE airport during a hiring event Monday. She had a passenger that was calling her co-worker the N word. Passenger and co-worker were both Black. DD had messaged the other co-worker to come deal with the passenger b/c he was just refusing to follow her instructions. He needed to pay for a checked bag. MKE does not take cash. He did not have a credit card. DD told him where to go to convert his cash to a debit card It is right there in the lobby - he ignored her and kept playing with his phone. At one point he threw his phone across the counter and told DD to enter the info on his phone. She told him she could not do that. By the time the flight was boarding, they had a whole slew of staff at the counter and DD said they were all minorities or gay/lesbians with like one person that was white, but the guy was yelling about racism. She said one of the supervisors printed his luggage tags before they cut off the flight, but he came back swearing at the staff and the woman threw them in the trash and told him That's it you are not flying today. DD has also said they are not supposed to board anyone they even suspect of being drunk anymore. I have also seen articles that the increasing misbehavior of passengers is why they often don't serve alcohol on flights anymore, but often passengers sneak their own alcohol on flights, so the flight attendants don't have control over it.

ETA: Idk, I was wondering if he was faking it - when my Dad had a meltdown it was usually a Bipolar high, One time, my ExDH and I visited the hospital right after he was admitted, and he threw an apple at my Ex as we were walking out the door (Hit the ex in the head with it too). My ex was very nice about it, but we divorced shortly after than and Mom and I kind of laughed about it. I don't think Dad had any advance knowledge of anything, but That was the only time he ever did anything violent to anyone. He would get very agitated, maybe jump up and down or yell. My Dad's normal personality was very calm and collected. He would also talk about things that just didn't make sense. Glad he was long gone before Trump came into the pictures because the Q Conspiracy theories and stolen election crap where the type of things that he would concoct in his mind when he was in a Bipolar meltdown.

I think at least on airline has stopped serving alcohol on flights. I'm not mad about it.

Then there are these people As if booting them off is the easiest, most economical and fastest way to handle the situation. 🙄 And of course, everyone believes what he says, because none of them heard, or saw it for themselves. Some people are f-ing jerks. Sometimes I just hate people.

Did any know this past Fall the A&E channel had eight episodes of a series called Fasten Your Seatbelt? I just this found out. Show are about the worst airport and plane behavior by passengers caught on cell, phone videos.
One clip from the series:

I think us vaxxed people should take it up a notch. I think when we go anywhere we should have our vaxx card and should throw a ridiculous temper tantrum when anyone won't show us their card but will be near us.

You did something wrong. She's so in her own head so much, she doesn't get its all about timing. Leave quickly and apoligize and perhaps avoid being booked. Probably a health and wellness person on something. Yes not wearing a mask is doing something to people around you.
