Part of the new voting restrictions bill that GA passed earlier in the year allows the State to take over county election boards if they deem them to be ‘unfit.’ They didn’t waste any time in moving against the Fulton County election board- Fulton County is the primary Atlanta county - even though there is zero evidence of any election problems in that county. As a UGA professor states in the article, 2020 was the first time the rural conservative voters did not outnumber the urban democratic voters, causing Trump to lose and two senate seats to move to the Dems. www.salon.com/2021/09/04/georgia-gop-called-shameless-for-trying-to-use-new-voting-law-to-oust-local-election-officials/Not at all suspicious that the GOP lead legislature should decide Fulton county, with 11 percent of the total electorate, nearly a 50/50% white black mix, and the most diverse group of voters in the state of Georgia is the very first county targeted for ‘review’ of their voting commission - which can result in their commission being removed and replaced with a temporary admin picked by the GOP heavy state legislature. In the 2018 elections, when Kemp, former SOS was running for governor, he had his good buddies go through the minority heavy counties and close down polling places where the minorities live for ‘accessibility’ issues, causing minority voters to have to drive further and stand in long lines. Not surprised Kemp came up with this new way to try to block minorities from voting. If this works, it will get imported to any state with a rural GOP population trying to suppress more liberal city voters.
