"Fire, forget, and find", attack, kill, and hope that it found and killed your desired target? It seems like "forget" means to give up any human ability to control the weapon once it is fired. I see potential for error in the initial input of targeting data and/or malfunction once it is fired. There will be a "whoops" at some point with this "upgrade". We can only hope it isn't too ugly in regards to victims.

When wars were fought hand to hand, friendly fire killings were extremely rare. Weapon upgrades over the centuries have made them more likely to happen. Eliminating the need to have a real time real life human being have eyes on target and launch weapons is just a step in that process.
