Do you have/use cooling sheets?
I just bought some sheets that said they will keep you warm, or cool. They are 100% cotton.
Seems like a marketing campaign, to me. Esp when there are so many microfiber sheets out now.
I should read the article.

The ones I have in AZ do feel cool if I move over to the cool part. The ones I have in ND do not. The weather will be in the 100 degree range for several days. I need to get out my little air conditioner for the upstairs bedroom even though the house is air conditioned. I do have a cool pad that is recommended for dogs that I can also use. I might use my mind to tell myself that I am cool.

Seems like a marketing campaign, to me. Esp when there are so many microfiber sheets out now. I wonder if it has to do with the popularity of Memory Foam mattresses - which seem to cause some sleepers to "overheat" or feel too warm. At least that's one of the issues with Memory Foam that I've read about and heard about In Real Life. I have hot flashes during the early morning hours (gee! thanks! Ovaries - just what I always wanted!) and thought it was odd that so many bed related things show up with "cooling" in their "why you should buy this product" info. I wasn't aware that there were so many tail end boomers sweating their way thru the night and that marketers would have suddenly discovered the "invisible" demographic. FWIW: I over heat and then freeze - so I'm flipping between a sheet/blanket and no sheet/blanket. I don't think the "cooling" sheets (or other bed products) will help all that much. I could be standing naked in -10 degree walk in freezer and have a hot flash, over heat and drip sweat for 3 or 4 minutes before going back to freezing.

I could be standing naked in -10 degree walk in freezer and have a hot flash, over heat and drip sweat for 3 or 4 minutes before going back to freezing. I have them too. But mine aren't what I would consider flashes. More like phases. And when I sleep, I'm usually too hot or too cold. I do like my memory foam mattress topper though and my new cotton sheets. The sheets have been treated with something, so they don't wrinkle. I would buy them again. I spent the last 2 weekends at my daughter's. She has a new purple mattress, pillow and sheets. The sheets are definitely cooling. But I felt like my feet were constantly snagged on them. And I couldn't get warm, even sleeping with 3 dogs.
