For the other Seattle area peep's:
I went to Safeway today and bought my pass for the upcoming 520 toll, it cost me $5.47 for the non-transferable one and the nice Safeway lady then gave me a $5 coupon off for my next shopping trip.
FYI: if you load your pass online by 4/15 ($30 minimum), you get an extra $10 automatically loaded on your pass.

I haven't used that bridge in years and never will again now they what to charge for it. I remember when they built that bridge and we called it the new floating bridge. They had a toll but I didn't ever use it until they removed the toll once it was paid for. I don't think I will use the narrows bridge any more either and refuse to pay for hot lanes. I hate the idea of tolling existing bridges and am glad I don't live where one is important.

Thanks for the info trix. I wasn't aware of the $10 offer. Looking at the small print I'm not sure I'll use it as it expries 3 months after the tolling starts, but I don't lose anything by signing up.
Crone, part of me agrees with you about being against the tolling implementation that they have here because I think the prices are too high. However, I suspect that the other bridge is going to be so clogged up as a result of people wanting to get around the tolls that I'll happily pony up for it on the few times a year that I need to get across the water in my vehicle.

The way gas prices are going, I don't think I'll be driving anywhere. I think I'll try to get our Mayor to haul me around on his bike.
