Trump sent cease and desist letters to the RNC, NRCC and NRCC to keep them from using his name and likeness for raising money because they were giving support to Republicans who voted to impeach him. So those organizations can’t raise money off Trump’s name for any Republicans because he wants to make sure a small number of Republicans can’t get any of the money. So - we don’t have a GOP anymore, it’s the party of whine and grievance, led by Captain Petty, who is perfectly fine shooting himself right in his tiny feet. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-rnc-cease-desist-letter-b1813442.html

If it were someone else, I'd suggest that maybe they could talk some sense into him - but that ain't happening.

I don’t recall a president in my life time who did not just shut up, leave town and begin reaping in millions with books and speeches.
Other than Teddy and the Bull Moose party, has there been another one that attempted to still control his party this much after his time in office?

Sadly probably 2a given how some states have censured people for voting to impeach Trump. My state censured a bunch of people (including Cindy McCain and our Governor) but we also voted Biden in, and have 2 (technically) Democratic Senators. I am hoping the state RNC wakes up. They aren't being supported as the party of Q. They could turn this state blue. Hmmmm, maybe I don't want them to wake up.

The censure thing feels so crazy. Going after the only sensible people with guts to recognize the country could be destroyed.

If by magic you mean programming people to follow only him, I don't think that kind of magic is a good thing. Unless of course you love hostile work environments and believe you aren't going to be a target of an angry mob that might hang you based on magical thinking...

When you are gaslighting an entire country, you can't have people out there trying to point out the flaws in the logic. Abuse 101 - cut off ties from your victim to any friends or family that is trusted and will have a chance at saving them. The Qs need to shut Cheney and company up - quick. Discrediting them is a way to erode their power.

Funny. Trump has no problem using artist’s music at his rallies. I wonder how he can distinguish this?

Funny. Trump has no problem using artist’s music at his rallies. I wonder how he can distinguish this? Because he has little awareness of the world outside of himself and what he wants. He is probably just angling for a big cut of the monies raised.

Am I the only wondering whether he has an angle to get paid for it since all of his names on buildings are slowly going away unless it's a property his family actually manages?

Don't forget his fight the steal PAC funds he got. They have limited oversight, right?

You know - anyone dumb enough to contribute deserves the loss. I hope Trump takes every dime and uses it to gold plate his toilets and pay off sexual misconduct lawsuits. Then he won't be using it to reinforce this fiction that the election was a fraud.

Don't forget his fight the steal PAC funds he got. They have limited oversight, right? You are exactly right, there is a lot of speculation he wants to use PAC money for his own benefit - apparently those funds do not have much oversight, and it’s legal for him to pay himself and his family lavishly from that PAC money. Important especially now because the Trump Inc business is in the crapper, and speculation is he’s behind pushed to sell off some of his properties to shore it back up. He’s making a big push for true patriots to just send their hard earned bucks directly to him not to any of the Republican organizations, because to do otherwise would just be supporting RHINOs. Smart people refuse to support RHINOS! I know he refused to pay his lawyers for their work on his ‘stop the steal’ bullshit, even though he had accumulated a fat PAC based on ‘stop the steal.’ I have a feeling any PAC money he raises for his Save America PAC will stay firmly in his pocket, and will not be doled out to help republicans running in 2022, and if Trump has his way, the other Republican organizations who might give the 2022 candidates money won’t have any to give. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-s-clash-with-gop-over-using-his-name-in-fundraising-ignites-midterm-worries/ar-BB1erCWp
