During Deposition, Donald Trump Mistook Photo Of Rape Accuser For His Ex-WifeFormer President Donald Trump mistakenly identified E. Jean Carroll, the columnist who alleges he raped her in a New York department store in the 1990s, as his ex-wife Marla Maples in an old photograph he was shown during deposition, court transcripts unsealed on Wednesday revealed. Trump has denied raping Carroll, previously saying she’s “not my type” in his defense. During the deposition in October, Trump said, “It’s Marla,” when pointing at Carroll in a 1987 picture in which he appeared with his accuser, her husband and his then-wife Ivana Trump. “You’re saying Marla is in this photo?” responded Roberta Kaplan, attorney for Carroll, per an excerpt of the testimony that was released by the U.S. District Court for Southern New York. “That’s Marla, yeah. That’s my wife,” Trump replied. “No, that’s Carroll,” interjected the former president’s attorney, Alina Habba. “Oh, I see,” said Trump, reported the Associated Press. Trump didn’t marry Maples until 1993, some six years later. In an earlier excerpt released from his deposition, Trump hurled insults about Carroll ― claiming she was “mentally sick” and a “nut job” who was only using the allegation to promote “a really crummy book.” Carroll is suing Trump for defamation, claiming his comments about her have harmed her reputation. In a separate lawsuit, the writer is seeking damages for rape from the former reality TV personality. During Deposition, Donald Trump Mistook Photo Of Rape Accuser For His Ex-Wife I’ve heard he’s too vain to wear glasses but really needs to wear them - supposedly that’s why he signs documents with that fat sharpie. Or maybe he’s just had too many female partners to keep them straight.

I would not be surprised to hear he has been with a lot of women once. It's the cost for them to try and get on the gravy train. I would be shocked if he has ever gotten the same woman twice without paying her (or yes, assaulting her) in some way. I can't imagine anyone putting themselves through the ordeal of sex with him twice for free. Can any woman think of a single time he has demonstrated a single quality that would imply he is any good? Fat, unattractive, selfish, narcissistic, mean, thin-skinned, and vindictive? Yeah, sounds like a catch!

I'm sure trump was the selfish, narcissistic, mean, thin-skinned, and vindictive individual we know today but lots younger. Wasn't one of trump's quotes about the women he had had sex with over the decades that they wanted to have sex with him? Which if anyone remembers the 80's and the 90's we were still kind of wrestling with the idea that a woman might actually say "no" to sex and mean it. I'm sure trump felt they all wanted to have sex with him and that they enjoyed it. I remember the 80's and the 90's. The "wanted and enjoyed it" is "boys being boys" speak for she couldn't get away from me and she felt afraid so she said she liked it (so I wouldn't beat the crap out of her or retaliate in other some way). trump hung around with Epstein didn't he?

Judge Orders Trump and Lawyer to Pay Nearly $1 Million for Bogus SuitAfter the scathing ruling, the former president also dropped a lawsuit against New York’s attorney general that had been pending before the same judge. In a scathing ruling, a federal judge in Florida on Thursday ordered Donald J. Trump and one of his lawyers together to pay nearly a million dollars in sanctions for filing a frivolous lawsuit against nearly three dozen of Mr. Trump’s perceived political enemies, including Hillary Clinton and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey. The ruling was a significant rebuke of Mr. Trump, who has rarely faced such consequences in his long history of using the courts as a weapon against business rivals and partners, as well as former employees and reporters. In an indication that the ruling may have had immediate consequences, other Florida-based lawyers for Mr. Trump filed a terse notice on Friday that he was voluntarily dropping a lawsuit he had filed against the attorney general of New York, Letitia James. Mr. Trump had filed the suit against Ms. James over the objections of his own longstanding legal advisers, who had told him it was frivolous. Thursday’s sanctions ruling in the Clinton conspiracy case — which followed an earlier imposition of sanctions for one defendant in the same case — was the latest setback for Mr. Trump as he faces a broad range of legal problems and criminal investigations. His lawyers are increasingly under scrutiny themselves for their actions in those cases, as well as divided in the advice they are offering him. again, Americans should give thoughts and prayers for your judicial system, which has held up amazingly well under the assault.

Fulton co DA is having a news conference on the 24th about the grand jury investigation over whether or not Trump tried to interfere with the vote.
I’m not sure how it will go. GA is a red state but Atlanta is very blue. Governor is GOP but someone Trump has repeatedly talked shit about. GA GOP voters do not appear to be strongly MAGA voters, since they voted for the Secretary of State and governor Trump hates, and failed to elect Trumps pick for senator.
So I’m not sure how the jury feels about the hearings, or how the AG will fall.

“the implausible claim that Mr. Comey conspired with Ms. Clinton, given the impact of his announcements on her 2016 campaign, not only lacks substance but is categorically absurd.” omg. someone said it out loud. in a court filing! swamp- there is speculation that this might hem in some of Trumps excesses. what do you think of that idea? is there now LEGAL STANDING to do so?

This case isn't binding anywhere other than this specific court, so there is no actual legal standing to do so. However, someone finally pulled back the curtain, and it may have the practical effect of making lawyers think before they file this crap. I hope Alina Habba has some cash available to her because they are jointly and severally liable, and you know Trump isn't going to pay. If she doesn't pay, her law license can be suspended.

“The Complaint and Amended Complaint were drafted to advance a political narrative; not to address legal harm caused by any Defendant,” the court writes, adding later that “this case is part of Mr. Trump’s pattern of misusing the courts to serve political purposes.”
The court then details garbage litigation which has functioned as a major PR and fundraising tool for the former president — not mention the principal subject of this column — since he unwillingly left the White House two years ago. It notes Trump’s idiotic state suit against the Pulitzer Prize board; his even more idiotic state suit against New York Attorney General Letitia James, in her “personal capacity,” which was removed from state court and landed on Judge Middlebrooks’s docket; his federal lawsuit to block the AG investigating him under the aegis of the New York state courts; his suits against the tech companies for tortiously deplatforming him after he incited a coup; and his multiple defamation suits against CNN.

Yeah I saw an article that said this will not phase Donald at all - nothing ever does - but will make it even harder for him to find lawyers willing to represent him. Look at Guliani and now this lawyer - not only doesn’t Trump pay them, he throws them under the bus.

I wish they could just refuse to look at anything in the future from Trump - no, you don't get to waste our time because you only file frivolous lawsuits.
Or, you know, stop the PACs from funding them and fundraising ON them. Cut off the gravy train.

Selling NFTs and gold memorial coins to the minions and firing off frantic emails about how ‘Merica and s going right in the crapper unless his minions keep their donations flowing. It’s his job, now. He won’t shut up and go away until he’s no longer watching th us, and even then Don Jr will probably launch a theme park featuring an AI version of his dad to help sell the cheap crap to the faithful.

So, does that mean that any contracts signed with the organization are not legally obliged to be fulfilled and anyone owing money to the organization no longer has to pay up?

I’m sure the very same lawyers arguing that Trump Inc doesn’t exist will ardently argue that it does exist when suing people for nonpayment.
