Here I come. I’ve tried so hard to stay away from the mouse, but I just can’t. My wife turns 50 this year, and her birthday falls on spring break week.
I decided to book a trip and will surprise her with it next weekend. We will both be vaccinated by then, are generally in good health. It has been two years since we were there, it’s time.

Oh, sweet. Hey, just steer clear of the loonies still flying their Trump flags and you'll be fine.
I am on the SE side; you didn't mention your precise destination. PM me if it anywhere Indian River County south.

They still had reservations for the parks this close out? Kinda surprised at that!

I thought my clue was enough, but I have a mouse addiction so I will be in Orlando with a quick trip to Lakeland to see my mom.

I got rid of my passes before they brought that back - don't know anyone who has used it yet. We usually didn't use it anyways since we were usually in the parks for 4 hours or less lol. It's better to go to the smaller parks on the weekdays and leave epcot and ak for the weekends

We could have hopped in January but we didn't. We did book an extra day at Epcot at the last minute because wait times were stupid low and we could walk over from our room at Boardwalk. I haven't looked at the reservation calendar lately. Mask usage is better there than the local Walmart or Lowe's.
My stupid weather channel app keeps flipping back to Orlando and reminding me it's 80 and sunny there while I'm freezing.

I do head up that way to see the family and occasionally to race. Ya never know...could be a Tractor and his Missus in my future.

I'm just going to love pointing it out to the next time I talk to my parents. Ask em if I'll see them there this year. Plus it's like the greatest comeback to why I hate growing up there lol.

It was laughable...except for those pickleball players. Those people are nuts. They scare me. This year's games have been postponed to May, 2022. Still set for Fort Lauderdale, which is nice for me. It's a lot of driving, but no real need for a hotel.

I revealed my plans to my wife this weekend, she was very surprised and excited. Now we just have to wait for March to get over with, but having something to look forward to will help it fly by.

Replace a couple members of the Black-ish TV family with Tractor and his wife and it's a good day at Disneyworld.

I just got back from my first trip to Disney. We went to Epcot yesterday. The longest we waited in line was about 20 minutes. We were in line when the park opened at 11, and by 4 we had ridden every ride. I agree with another poster on mask compliance- it was excellent. There were frequent announcements reminding you that "masks must be worn covering the nose and mouth unless you are eating and drinking while stationary. Guests who do not comply will be asked to leave the park." And they meant it. I'd never had any desire to do Disney due to the crowds. I am very glad I went.

Thanks for the update. One of the things I do is obsess about my visit well before I get there. I now patrol Disney forums daily for recent trip update, changes in operating hours and transportation options.
I see they recently announced extended hours for the end of March so many of the parks will now be open until 9-10:00pm. Hopefully things will continue that way as I hit the parks in early April. Thinking about being there for almost a month ahead of time is a big part of the fun for me 😀

Are you going strictly for investigative purposes? What's the deal?🤔
