I can't find any exact data on sumatriptan or hydrocodone and the vaccine (my migraine meds), but in general everything says to keep talking any normal meds. Hydrocodone is usually mixed with tylenol so it wouldn't have the anti inflammatory response like NSAID. I want to say the same for sumatriptan - because why else would have they come out a few years later saying it's way more effective if you take it with naproxeen which is a NSAID if suma was a NSAID? Which, if you didn't know or haven't tried makes suma work way quicker and better. I started doing it once some company patented a drug that combined both in one pill but it was cheaper to have 2 pills - the combo pill is prob generic now but naproxeen has become my OTC nsaid so I never bothered to check.

I don't always read all of them. I gave her one, she has asked for nothing else and is ok now.

I just got a third response from the "don't call us, we'll call you" registrations- this was the Missouri Vaccine Navigator with a link to make appointments but a caveat that slots fill up quickly. No kidding! I don't need it because I'm scheduled for my second appointment at the first site that got back to me but I am so happy to see these sites are finally producing results- good news for the people still searching.

I already have an appointment for vaccine #2, but I did receive an email yesterday with a sign up link.

I'm helping teachers from our school get vaccinated since they can't be online at all during the day looking for appts. Happy to do it but also chuckling about racking up the brownie points with them. Currently on hold for teacher #4s appt.

This seems to be a handy website for finding appt openings. It would be super helpful to me if it had a map as I grew up in IL, so I'm not as familiar with MO cities. I have google maps open in another browser. www.vaccinespotter.org/

Wow- thanks for the link. That is a very helpful site. (Need I add that I wish that our paid elected officials would have been able to come up with something like this?) I'm posting it on FB.

azucena - That website has been super helpful! I was able to get BOTH my DH and I appointments for this coming week. My DH is so close based on age, but he has a couple high risk factors that helped him qualify. I have 1 high risk factor, which apparently was enough for CVS to let me schedule an appt. The only downside is that our appts are on different days and both are about 90 minutes away! I'm just glad we are able to make the drive.

So far only a sore arm this morning. And not even as bad as the Shingles vaccine.

azucena , I found that website few days ago and wanted to spam the board until everyone saw it as it seems that would be really helpful to a lot of people looking for appointments. I hope more people see it and are able to use it! Here is the article mentioning it if people are squeamish about it. I have heard that some places have only one shot open to schedule and the necessary 2nd shot is impossible to snag. Someone locally that claims to be in the know said that it happens when the place only offers 2nd shot and no 1st shots at all as they don't have a lot available.

Our state department of health made an announcement last night about opening up to the next xx number of tiers. Problem was they gave the counties a 15 minute heads up and the counties have already made plans for using their vaccines for this week's allocation. No, the vaccine allocations to the counties were not changed.
Appears the smaller counties have not yet vaccinated everyone over 65 and are saying they will not move to the next tiers until that is done.
ETA: Make that 8 minutes.

So far only a sore arm this morning. And not even as bad as the Shingles vaccine. That's what I was going to post although the Shingles shot wasn't bad for me either. I wouldn't exactly call my arm sore. It is more like I know I had a shot today. The person administering it said I probably wouldn't feel any side effects, though, until tonight. I got mine around 8:45 am. I did get a little irritated, though. My lane in the drive-through clinic was going slowly so they moved a cone to get me to drive over into the lane next to me so cars could pull forward behind me. Only there wasn't enough room between me and the car ahead of me. They kept assuring me that there was, but from my view their bumper looked way too close to my bumper. I didn't figure UAB would accept responsibility if I scraped it. So I refused to move any more over until the car in my lane was able to move forward. That then allowed someone who got vaccinated after me to get ahead of me in the other lane, forcing me to wait an extra 15 minutes until I could leave. It wasn't a huge deal. I didn't complain. I was glad to simply get the shot. It was just a minor annoyance in the game of Life.

Dh took the kids to his parents yesterday and ds kept his mask on. Mil yelled at him to take it off because he was safe (mil/fil are vaccinated). Dh put his mask on at that point and told her that everyones choices need to be respected, but I seriously would have lost it. Dh said he'd follow up with her to remind her that ds has type 1 which is an auto-immune disorder, and is obviously not vaccinated, but she shouldn't have to be reminded. I'm so frustrated.

I was wrong in that I do have a minor side effect from the second shot. I am stiff when I try to get up. It goes away quickly when I move around, but I went to WM, which is about 10 minutes away, and could barely get out of the car. I felt the same way after I drove home. I am sure it will be gone tomorrow.

Random internet strangers symbolically putting on a mask with your son! I'm lucky enough to be an adult with risks to get vaccinated, but am with him in solidarity since he can't yet! I'm sorry his grandparents don't understand - I'm sorry he has to learn now how to stay strong! But this stranger is behind him, even though I probably wasn't quite a strong years ago when I became immunocompromised and that was early 20s for me.

My county is having its biggest surge in COVID-19 cases ever to the point hat we're "winning" in the state. But, now I'm vaccinated. Am I supposed to stay home? I feel like I'm supposed to stay home.

countrygirl2 yes I edited my post. I thought it was harsh, I felt badly, so I edited it. It was frustrating to read about giving ibuprofen after the vaccine when someone had JUST explained why you shouldn't, but it's not my business. My sincere apologies. DH was vaccinated this morning! He was told to take paracetamol for 24 to 36h. He's fine. We are SO grateful and relieved!!! Our seconds shots are scheduled for May. (The second AZ shot is 9-12 weeks later). They are REALLY accelerating the vaccines here, FINALLY! justme so happy for you!!! My DS3 (in the UK) is young but has health issues too and I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT till he's vaccinated too!!!

Be a good example and stay home. How long ago was your vaccine? You need to be 2-3 weeks out from your 2nd shot to be considered fully immunized. But no one can tell by looking at you. I still stay home as much as possible.

We don't have herd immunity. I am to get my 2nd vaccine on Thursday. So still extra cautious for another two weeks.
I will still wear a mask and I will not be getting on an airplane or eating at an indoor restaurant in this state of covid deniers and non mask wearers.

I don't think you are supposed to stay home, but you are supposed to take the same precautions as before--mask up, wash your hands, social distance, and stay out of bars, etc. Sorry, Chloe, but you have to go to work tomorrow.

Knee Deep in Water Chloe frankly I'm not sure if your question was sincere or tongue-in-cheek. I would say that you can (and should) stay home for any staff meetings, because unvaccinated staff should be encouraged to stay home. But if you teach, and you have been vaccinated, you are probably expected to be present for your students. (I know you've been vaccinated, but I can't remember if you've had both shots. I also can't remember if you actually teach these days LOL.)

Lol! I am going to work tomorrow. Yes, I was serious, but I meant for unnecessary trips to places. I am both fully vaccinated and three and a half weeks out from having had my second vaccine.
At my place of employment, all work/workers are at work. That part is not changing. I'm in a state in which anyone who works in a school has had the opportunity to have both shots. Any educator in my state who has not had the shot has made the decision to not have one.
I meant--with my question-- for unnecessary trips to the store, and then I was trying to think of where else I would go, but there really isn't any where local. One of the theatre's we like to go to where we used to live and Miss Grandbaby lives is performing one play and the house can be up to 25% capacity.

Also, if we stay home, in theory it makes it easier for everyone else to socially distance and it reduces the crowd. I think we can do that for our neighbors/community until the others get the chance at the vaccine
