This can happen?! www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/ice-cream-in-china-tests-positive-for-covid/ar-BB1cOGm2?ocid=msedgntpIt’s chilling news.
Three samples of ice cream produced in China tested positive for coronavirus Thursday, regulators in the country’s Tianjin municipality said.
All employees at the Tianjin Daqiaodao Food Company, about 90 miles southeast of Beijing, were immediately quarantined and tested for the virus, Chinese media outlet Global Times reported. Of the 1,600 employees, 700 tested negative and 900 results were not immediately released.
Authorities said the COVID-contaminated dessert was part of a batch of 4,800 boxes, of which about 2,700 had been purchased by markets and wholesalers in Tianjin.
Chinese food inspectors and contact tracers were still working Friday to track all the potentially contaminated boxes.

So how would that work... COVID19 is a Respiratory kind of thing not a "gut" kind of thing (like say a norovirus). Would you actually get COVID19 from eating the ice cream?
Does that mean Covid19 is spreading in America via all the fast food and groceries we're eating? I suspect there have been quite a few sick workers in our food production industries.

When the meat packing plant workers were getting clobbered I remember being assured that cooking the meat would get rid of the problem.

I am not sure how much ingesting frozen covid would hurt a person, since it is a respiratory condition.

The virus is spread by the airborne route. Exposing it to high temperatures in cooking will inactivate it. I doubt that ice cream is an effective route of infection either. Stool, on the other hand, may be a problem
