Not sure how many of those people would continue to make speeches going on day 2. Also, once their speeches were no longer being covered during prime time - they lost steam. They all pretended it was because of a change of heart due to violence, etc, but most of it was to make a national name for themselves and once that opportunity was gone, there was no point.

In reality, Cruz looks foolish now. His big grandstand, with everyone pulling support 10 minutes later - total shit the bed. He did it so he could run on 2024, but it might be the end of his political ambitions. We will have to see what happens next.

Hawley came off looking like an ass. He’s the first GOPer who said he would dispute the electoral count, and there is a picture of him doing a fist pump towards the pro Trump mob earlier in the day. His hometown news paper had an editorial saying he had blood on his hands.

Apparently he’s very ambitious and hoped to run in 2024. Hopefully that possibly is forever dead now.

He's a giant douche but at the same time I pity him.  Something is very very clearly wrong with this man and people are allowing him to run amok.   Maybe once Trump disappears back into the 9th circle of hell from which he crawled someone will finally get Rudy the medication he clearly needs.
