startsmart -- Whenever you start the 2022 thread is fine with me. I will be back.
I have been trying to get a few small things done this morning as I am waiting for my new phone to arrive. The old one is barely holding itself together. According to the tracking info it is on the truck to be delivered today. This purchase was not in my plans but since the back of the phone was separating from the front I decided that I needed to replace it sooner than later ___________________
This happened to my tablet and one of my phones. The phone was fixed and the battery replaced. I was told the heat from the battery is what caused it. That was a couple of years ago. I replaced the phone last spring, I think.

I would be happy in that house once it's all fixed up. I love old houses but I don't have the knowledge to fix them up. It's gorgeous and homey and comfy.

Got a bag of stuff to one of the drop boxes today. I hope it stays clear enough I can walk some used shoes and others thing to it. Shop at the mall hasn't answered my call. Stuff is ready to go, might just pop in when I have the time and energy.

Finally feeling back to myself after the last few frantic weeks (months) at the bakery. DH just reminded me that we had plans on Christmas Eve that I totally spaced on due to exhaustion. I missed my goal of getting rid of 25% of my Christmas decorations. Instead I used about 10% of what I have and left the rest packed away in the basement. I never even got out the stockings! Had a great time with the kids and grandma the Sunday before Christmas since DD was going to be with her boyfriend's family. L came by on Christmas morning on her way to her boyfriend's and quiet dinner with DH and DS later in the day. It was peaceful and not at all stressful. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with decluttering progress this year. I got rid of a lot of things in conjunction with the renovation projects upstairs. With the exception of one closet, everything in those three rooms is organized and clutter free. My biggest success is that I lost 28 out of the 40 pound goal I set for myself in September. I'm 12 pounds away from my 25 yo weight, when I was really healthy. The downside is that I could really use a lot of the clothes I donated. I'm waiting to reach my goal before I shop. Goals for 2022: Cull the 4 boxes of papers that came out of the file cabinet that I've been ignoring. Go through the kitchen again and donate items that I haven't used for at least a year. With just DH and I to cook for I don't need all the stuff I have.
Happy New Year

Got rid of a 3 small bags of stuff to the bins. Need to go through my drawers and cull stuff. I hope the coming crash into cold weather won't have me hiding under blankets and reading. So much more to organize.

Happy New Year my friends.
Sorry I went AWOL. We all got Covid, DS1/DDIL/DGS/DGD obviously cancelled their trip, as did DS3's partner. I was absolutely devastated. I've been offline.
We had nearly 3 glorious weeks with DS3. He leaves tomorrow, I will catch up then.

Of course you were devastated, but health is most important.

DS1 managed to get through all the boxes in his room. He did not downsize as much as we had hoped, but the room is pretty well organized for us to use it when he is away. I might try to do some work in that room myself this year. We will see. Now to figure out 2022 goals!

TheOtherMe and Iggy aka IG did you survive the winds okay. I'm not sure if anyone else is in the area of the recent wind storms. Sharon, thank you for thinking of us! Sorry for the delay, the holidays had me scrambling and I am behind here. Yes, we survived, and surprisingly, I didn't receive any wind claim calls here at the office. The wind was the strongest I'd ever witnessed since moving to our current home, and I woke up to the windows rattling in the middle of the night. Very frightening.
