What the hell was John McCain thinking when the powers that be convinced him to select Sarah Palin as his running mate. Sarah Palin On Insurrectionists' Prison Time: 'What's The Use In Being A Good Guy?'GOP firebrand Sarah Palin said Tuesday the prison time recently given to insurrectionists in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack “makes the good guy think, ‘What’s the use in being a good guy?’” (Watch the video below.) The interview with Newsmax’s Eric Bolling severely downplayed the prominent roles of Proud Boys gang members Zachary Rehl, Joe Biggs and Ethan Nordean. All received double-digit sentences after being convicted of seditious conspiracy for planning, encouraging and orchestrating the siege. Bolling characterized their participation as “nonviolent” and suggested they “could have simply been charged with trespassing or vandalism.” He also spoke of the Christmases they will miss with their families. Palin ― a former Alaska governor, 2008 vice presidential candidate and recent loser in a Donald Trump-endorsed bid for the House of Representatives ― echoed conservative whitewashing of the attempted coup as an example of a biased justice system. “It’s so disheartening, the examples that you’ve given, Eric,” Palin replied. “It makes the populace lose a lot of faith in our government, and that’s an understatement. Unfortunately, what this leads to, when we recognize the examples that you just gave, the two-tiered different justice systems that apply according to politics, you know, it makes the good guy think, ‘What’s the use in being a good guy? We’re gonna be punished, you know, we’re picked on, is what we are under this system.’” Rest of article here: Sarah Palin On Insurrectionists' Prison Time: 'What's The Use In Being A Good Guy?'I actually liked John McCain and was considering voting for him until he tapped Palin. Knowing that he had previously had health issues, the idea of having her second in command flipped me. That was a phenomenally poor move on his party's part and I do not believe he was on board with it, from what I've read.

Once a fool always a fool. Trump says it was ‘my decision’ to try to overturn 2020 election resultsFormer President Donald Trump said that he received counsel from numerous people shortly after the 2020 election but that it was his decision to push the false claim he won the presidency and try to overturn the results. “It was my decision, but I listened to some people,” Trump told NBC’s “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired Sunday. Trump has been indicted over his efforts to subvert the 2020 election results. A central premise of special counsel Jack Smith’s case, according to his indictment of the former president, is that Trump knew the election claims he was making were false after being told by close aides that he had lost but disseminated them anyway to make them appear legitimate – all in service of an alleged criminal conspiracy. “I was listening to different people, and when I added it all up, the election was rigged,” Trump told Kristen Welker in the interview, again pushing the false claim as he seeks the 2024 Republican nomination for president. “You know who I listen to? Myself. I saw what happened,” Trump said. The former president said he didn’t listen to his attorneys who told him he lost the election because he didn’t respect them. “You hire them, you’ve never met these people, you get a recommendation, they turn out to be RINOs (Republicans in name only), or they turn out to be not so good. In many cases, I didn’t respect them,” Trump said. “But I did respect others. I respected many others that said the election was rigged.” Rest of article here: Trump says it was ‘my decision’ to try to overturn 2020 election results

Plenty of others around trump that day told us exactly what he did as the attack unfolded at the US capitol building. No need for trump to lie to the American people yet again. Trump refuses to say in a TV interview how he watched the Jan. 6 attack unfold at the US CapitolNEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump repeatedly declined in an interview aired Sunday to answer questions about whether he watched the Capitol riot unfold on television, saying he would “tell people later at an appropriate time.” Trump, the current front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, refused to say on NBC's “Meet the Press” how he spent Jan. 6, 2021, once the insurrection began and whether he made phone calls as his supporters stormed the seat of American democracy. “I’m not going to tell you. I’ll tell people later at an appropriate time,” Trump told moderator Kristen Welker after she asked if he spent that afternoon watching the attack on television in a dining room at the White House. Trump's former aides have said he sequestered himself in the room off the Oval Office to watch, at times even rewinding and rewatching some parts. In the interview, taped Thursday at Trump's golf club in New Jersey, Trump refused to say who he called as the violence unfolded. “Why would I tell you that?” he said. Trump said in response to Welker's pressing him about his public silence during the violence that he had made “beautiful statements" on the day of the attack. He thinks he’s a wily genius, but he’s so stupid.

I can’t tell if he needed to pick her to access the power of that part of the party, or if him picking her gave power to that part of the party.

Well, supposedly he was shit faced drunk on J6. Not that it excuses his piggish behavior, but does make it more likely that bad behavior occurred.

Awoman known as “Bullhorn Lady,” who participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, has been sentenced to 57 months in prison. Rachel Powell was convicted on nine federal counts in July for smashing a Capitol window with an ice axe and using a bullhorn to incite rioters. Just after the attack, she remarked that Capitol Hill police “had to retreat into the building and fight back because patriots were relentless,” but she has since switched her stance, claiming police brutality. Prosecutors had wanted an eight-year prison sentence, asserting that she “conducted surveillance at a female legislator’s home.” During her sentencing, Powell said, “I am deeply ashamed of my conduct. I regret it, and it will never happen again.” She later stated, “I apologize to my family for the hell they have endured because of me.” U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth told Powell that she “said all the right things today” but that she should have come to her realization earlier. Previously, she had stated her hope that Donald Trump would pardon her once he was reelected president. www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/rachel-powell-jan-6-bullhorn-lady-sentenced-to-57-months-in-prison/ar-AA1inFQo?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=c2e2c1c2b1db4eb4a3e65a418ad9acaf&ei=58Just like their leader---get caught, try and lie your way out of it.

Jan. 6 defendant Vitali GossJankowski was tackled to the ground in an altercation inside a D.C. courtroom on Monday. Several federal agents were required to subdue the defendant in a fracas that reportedly toppled tables. CBS News was the first to report the altercation. The scuffle erupted moments after U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman revoked GossJankowski’s conditional release pending his sentencing. GossJankowski was convicted in March of several misdemeanor and felony offenses related to his participation in the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol, which included pushing, spitting on, and pulling at the protective shields of law enforcement officers. Prosecutors requested GossJankowski’s pre-sentencing release be rescinded after he allegedly sent intimidating and harassing text messages and posted threats on social media against several law enforcement officials who had testified against him. According to a court filing, the messages included racist and antisemitic language targeting the officers. www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/vitali-gossjankowski-resisted-arrest-jan-6-hearing-1234866119/ Sounds like a true law and order Republican.

yes, but he would do more good saying it as a member of Congress and run for re-election, not by giving up.

Trump only appointed the best of the best. Former Trump State Department appointee sentenced to 70 months in prison after assaulting police officers at US CapitolCNN—A former appointee of Donald Trump was sentenced Friday to 70 months in prison for his violent role on January 6, 2021. Federico Klein, a former State Department appointee, was found guilty following a bench trial before Judge Trevor McFadden this summer of multiple counts, including assaulting multiple police officers that day. “Your actions on January 6 were shocking and egregious,” McFadden, also a Trump appointee, said during Friday’s sentencing. Since the DOJ used video, social media, and facial recognition to arrest the J6 rioters, will they do the same for the vandals at this anti Israel riot?
