I've seen them a thousand times and they always just took my breath away. There were a couple of them always in the same spot just outside Minocqua, WI, and even though I expected them to be there, it was still a happy surprise. link

Glad to read it is against the law in Wisconsin to hunt/kill white and albino deer. These deer would have a bullseye on them where ever they may roam without protection.

I don't know about hunting rules in Iowa or how long this stuffed albino deer has hung in the local grocery store.
My niece graduated 25 years ago and said the albino deer was hanging there at that time.

Restrictions on hunting albino deer were originally put into place when biologists first thought they were a distinct species. As we now know, this is not the case, and albino “versions” of multiple species are common in the animal kingdom.
It is legal to hunt them in Michigan, just like any other deer, white, brown or piebald (mixed colors).
