I was a member on the old boards and a recent lurker here.
I was wondering if anyone knows about PA local taxes? I moved to a different school district in June and received tax forms from the current school district, but nothing from the old school district. After reading the form I did receive, it doesn't mention anything about filing in both places or how to split the wages so it would get properly filed.
I meant to call the local tax office, but I stuck the form away and completely forgot about it until now. Do I just file the local taxes for where I live now? Or do I have to file separate forms for both municipalities? My husband's employer deducts the local tax from his paychecks based on the municipality they are in, which is 1%. Where we live now is 1%, but I always used to end up paying a few bucks in the old place, so I think that rate is a little higher....

I've always filed a split return - one for each district for the amount of time you lived in each district. You can probably get away with just filing where you currently live, but I can't recommend that. Do both locals use the same tax collector? Berkheimer/CenTax, etc??
