I agree with what don is saying here: Pete could have won THIS YEAR. but there was no way of knowing that in January. Pete and Kamala were my favorites (and Amy Klobuchar).

I don’t believe I mentioned that Pete could have won this year and still think he needs some seasoning before he can be elected on the national stage. I should have said "appears to be saying".
I think he could have won this year. do you?
I had hope that numerous of the Demos could have won. I really like Pete but still think he needs to be more than a mayor of a smallish city to be ready for that larger stage.

I saw a clip last night where someone was asking him if he’s ready to talk family values given his marriage and he was like, know what my marriage has never resulted in? Paying a porn star for sex... so yeah, let’s talk family values. I'm in love

There are worse things than having him standing in the wings for a future presidency. My point is there are better things that he can do other than standing in the wings that would make him more qualified to actually be President. An ex mayor of a small city wouldn’t quite cut it. Heck, we even have a poster here that last week referred to Obama as a “community organizer” and he had been a state Senator and US Senator amongst other achievements. The calling him a CO, which he did after college, is just racist diminuation but they still say it today. Just think what a gay ex mayor would have to deal with.

Maybe a cabinet post would polish that curriculum vitae. Or VP under Kamala in 2024.

Pete has been going on shows and he played Trump for debate prep. I think he is making use of his opportunities now and also working on making sure Trump loses.

Obama was approximately as qualified as Lincoln. Lincoln did OK, apart from suspending Habeas Corpus.

Yes, no, maybe so.😎 I would have voted for him without hesitation whereas I will not vote for Joe (in our safely blue state).

It’s way beneath him, but I honestly wish he’d be press secretary. Speak daily, bring back the norms and obliterate the bullshit.

Excellent suggestion as he would be be great in that role. However, if he is looking at his political future, a cabinet position would be a better fit for him.

I love Mayor Pete!! I voted for him in the Primary before he dropped out. I think he would be excellent in a cabinet position and hopefully be able to ascend from there. I would vote for him for Prez! I don't really understand why peeps are saying he doesn't have enough experience. Sorry but the current piece of shit occupying the WH had NO experience. So as far as I am concerned Mayor Pete is over qualified in comparison.

Executively speaking I think a mayor or governor experience is more like president, but I'm open to arguments.

Executively speaking I think a mayor or governor experience is more like president, but I'm open to arguments. I don't disagree. However I think of it this way: playing Pop Warner football is better training for a NFL career than playing Little League baseball. Mayor of a medium sized town or a short term as governor of a small population state doesn't provide the level of experience that I want in a President.

Biden is up well over 10% in NJ. probably closer to 20.

PA is not. We dropped under 7 aggregate today because this... which looks frankly way too close to 2016 for me.
