Mod, are you catching any of the mess from hurricane Sally?  We have been getting rain bands here.  It's only moving at 3 mph so going to be a mess.

kadee, No, skies partly cloudyis all, no problem with Sally.  Concern with other storms forming far out to sea.  Vicky looks like it's started our way, but a good week away.

Sounds like you have a "soaker" to deal with, hope you are on high ground.

Yes, we are on a small hill.  Those projections that they do...where all the ice in the world melts...how high would the water table be?...We are the only dry ground in this general area with only 1 small trail for in/out.  Nearly all of Fl. is covered in water.  Some of those bands aren't making it this far today, but we got enough yesterday...don't need more for awhile.

Yes, Mod....we are safe.  We had some torrential rains today...in bands.  One band it was hard to see our work shop that is about 40-50' from the back of the house...that's how hard it was coming down.  The ones that got it worse than us were to our west.  We are just about out of it now...just some light stuff still falling.  It is now headed to or already into N.Ga. & S.C. & may be into N.C. before morning.

I just wish we could have sent some of this rain out west where they could use it to put out fires.  It's horrible out there AGAIN this year.

Kadee, Nope, to your question re: APPS. This is the 2nd time I've had it. You know I'm a glutton to my

"Soft4' graph".... That's my Strength of Trend. 6 month. Weekly chart, with at least one mov. avg. ( 4 wk.).

When it really "starts topping".... it's a very good signal for the "long range stuff"..... I'm an old chartist.

And I don't have a many shares of it., anyway.

Ref: your storm:..... I spent many of my summers, growing up/ visiting, etc. in Flomaton., Ala. ( 70 miles

east of Mobile. My uncle delivered mail there for about 50 years. I even went on some daily trips with him.

And twice when I was about 16, I hitchhiked from West. Tex. to Alabama. MEMORIES.
