NoNamePerson must have been cooking a meal for Rachel in Rachel's home. Shhhh, don’t tell anyone! WOW just checked out the story! Glad they are all OK! Be interesting to hear reason for fire. One raging inferno from looks of pictures. Yes it was. I've been to Lake Luzerne. Beautiful, but super remote. The closest "civilization" is Glens Falls at about 30 miles and Lake George (a little resort village) at about 20 miles. I'm sure her property is beautiful, it's 200 acres on a dirt road. But there is no one around and no fire hydrants. All water for the fire has to be trucked in by tanker. They said 14 departments responded, and by the time the first one got there, the flames were already through the roof. Live in the boonies at your own risk. |
