The Republicans are going to really, really, really, really regret giving unfettered power to the office of POTUS. They won't hold the office forever. They likely won't hold it for their lifetime. If it is good for the goose, it is good for the gander. But most of all, it is very bad for the country. One person having absolute power and no restraint, no matter what that person's politics are, will destroy us.

it is one thing to give power to decent men and women.
it is quite another to give it to a manchild.

The assumption of unchecked power in the Presidency is my concern, without regard to the individual who is in that office at any given time. Congressional inaction in the face of such assumption is my concern. I think that focusing on the who instead of the what is counterproductive.

"Well, we haven't had. Excuse me. You heard me yesterday. We're signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan ..." Who ever told trump to say that probably started a thread titled: 'MAGA: Official End To Korean War Planned For Next Week'

If only he would require all insurance plans to cover all local doctors, it would help us out.
Just found out that my husband's doctor is NOT covered by our insurance. It would have been nice to know that before they treated him. Our system is a mess.

That interview was recorded just over 3 weeks ago. President Trump, we are waiting (or was this just another bullshit lie of yours?)

That interview was recorded just over 3 weeks ago. President Trump, we are waiting (or was this just another bullshit lie of yours?) From the linked article: At a last-minute press conference held in the ballroom of his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Friday night, President Donald Trump said that in the next two weeks he'd be working on an executive order to require health insurance companies to cover those with preexisting conditions. Of course, he didn't say how he would pay for it...….

That interview was recorded just over 3 weeks ago. President Trump, we are waiting (or was this just another bullshit lie of yours?) Need to correct this. 3 weeks ago: We're signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan link Having not done that, these next two weeks will having him: At a last-minute press conference held in the ballroom of his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Friday night, President Donald Trump said that in the next two weeks he'd be working on an executive order to require health insurance companies to cover those with preexisting conditions. link So he has gone from signing a complete plan to working on a plan for one small (already existing) piece of a plan. In three weeks he will be announcing that healthcare will be a top priority for his administration in a second term.

The following is a transcript of President Trump’s July 19, 2020 interview with "Fox News Sunday." ... TRUMP: Well, we haven't had. Excuse me. You heard me yesterday. We're signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan ... .... www.foxnews.com/politics/transcript-fox-news-sunday-interview-with-president-trumpI am posting this on August 14,2020. To my knowledge, no plan has been signed. I don't think this should be dismissed with "What did you expect?" I expect the President of the United States to speak truthfully. I expect the American people to hold him accountable when he doesn't.

Here you go a new virus cure and of course trump thinks its great.
I am going to have to quit reading about this stooge. Here is what he is pushing for a cure now. I'm in distress hearing this crap.
Oleandrin — a botanical extract from the oleander plant — was suggested to the president by Carson in a meeting in the Oval Office in July, according to the Axios report.
MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell, who's known to have be well-connected with the president, also expressed support for the experimental extract. Lindell also has a financial stake in the company developing the oleandrin product, Phoenix Biotechnology.
Lindell told Axios that Trump "basically said: …'The FDA should be approving it,'" regarding oleandrin as a potential treatment for the coronavirus.
It's try witch doctors and the like, probably about as viable.

Important UpdateIn an interview with Fox News in July, Trump said he would be signing a "full and complete health care plan" within two weeks. "We're signing a health care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health care plan that the Supreme Court decision on DACA gave me the right to do," Trump said during that interview on July 19. In an August 3 press briefing, Trump said his health care plan would most likely be released before the end of the month. But August came and went and the President never released a plan. link

I can kinda understand overlooking all of his stupid shit, but anyone who believes that he has a comprehensive plan that he has released zero details on, after he has been promising it for more than 4 years is fucking crazy. Why would anyone believe this?

Why would anyone believe this? Correct. He said he had one ready to go in 2016. I had a horrible boss like this once. When the corporate people were coming to visit he went around promising everyone everything. Then after they left he forgot everything he said he would do. He got fired, in the end.

Is this like how he said all those nice things about Covid19 -- so he wouldn't panic people? Is he just saying nice things so the American public doesn't panic about this, too? Is there a trump Translator online for those of us who have trouble understanding what he's saying

Thank you for saying that. Ever since the campaigning leading up to the election in 2016 I felt that trump's campaign and his behavior and his past were like horrible employers and bosses that I've had in the past. I thought I was alone and that everyone else must work or had worked for ONLY awesome employers and had fantastic bosses. When I'd mention that trump was like a 'bad boss' I got blank stares. When I'd ask, "so you'd like to work directly with trump? Gee, what would your nickname be I wonder? Would you be worried about getting thrown under the bus when your project wasn't as good as it should have been? Do you have a flame retardant suit for when your boss trump gets angry and starts in with personal attacks? Do you really want to work for such a boss?? " And that was me back in 2016 BEFORE the election... I got more blank stares. I also mentioned he was a bully and was probably an "abusive boyfriend" kind of guy - and that too got blank stares. I guess I've just met some really awful people during my journey thru life while other people got the "nice people" on their path.

My Trump supporter stepdaughter has three girls of dating age and one more who will get there. I want to ask her, "If one of your daughters brought home a guy who behaves like Donald Trump, would you encourage her to pursue the relationship further?" Except considering her choices over the time I have known her, ...
